A fine choice as a calculus professor, however you will have to put in the effort to pass this class by simply doing the Homework, attending office hours, and studying for the exam.

nice guy but a terrible Professor! Take this class if you know calc and want a refresher and are okay with teaching yourself. His lectures are so boring and he gives so much homework. attend the class if you want a chance at passing the class. I had about a B before I withdrew. knew I would fail so I withdrew to save my GPA.

He knows what he is teaching, so that helps! He does move a little fast during lectures, but he's very accessible during office hours and you can tell he wants students to do good! Lectures are very quick too, usually 50 min or less. He also assigns small chunks of work after every class which he goes over at the end so it's easy points!

Ruedemann was a very nice and approachable person, but his teaching style is horrible. His lectures are all over the place and hard to follow. I have never struggled with math in my life until this class. Not good at explaining concepts. The only people who did well in this class had already taken it in high school.

Calc 2 is already a very hard class, taking it online is a big challenge. Had to go in for tutoring every week. Ruedemann is boiz tho, curves your grade if you're borderline and answers questions on Piazza.

Professor Ruedemann was a terrible professor. He did not care about his students success and actually told his students to withdraw from his class after one of the tests. He has no sympathy and assumes you know all of the material. He never teached anything in his class. I had to learn everything on my own with the tutoring center.

Keep in mind that I took this class with no prior experience with Calculus. Rudedemann talks fast and monotone without explaining topics well at all. He would stop the lesson to ask if there was any questions, but the class wouldn't even know where to begin. The first test we averaged under 50% and there was no way to make up the loss of points.

He went over all the material in class, but it was difficult to understand him at times and he went really fast over some concepts. Despite that, he wants you to succeed and he has videos online that really go in depth over the material if you do not understand. As long as you do the homework and the test review it is an easy A.

Overall he was a good professor. His lectures can be pretty fast paced and sometimes it does get confusing. He does send out the notes via email, so attendance isnt really mandatory. The tests werent too difficult if you study the math departments examples. He did assign a lot of homework, so chegg is a worthy investment with problem help

Prof Ruedemann is a very... quirky guy. Lectures are very monotone and boring but occasionally he will tell a joke. The homework is harder than the tests which is a good thing, if you understood precalc it's not too hard to get an A.

Professor Ruedemann is a pretty good teacher. His lectures are long and boring, but he assigns group work most classe which helps boost your grade. There is alot of Webwork homework which sucks and it is way harder than the tests. Chegg helped me greatly throughout this course so think about investing in that. Lastly, there is NO extra credit.

Lectures can painful, but give everything you everything need for the HW and tests. It's math class so there's a good bit of HW, but it all helps you learn the material for the test. Tests follow the Math dept's study guides. Groupwork is a fairly easy 3ish problems due the day of the next class (usually done last 20min of class).

Professor Ruedemann really does want to do what he can to help everyone do well. Diff eq. is a really hard class, there is only so much a prof can do about that. He will pretty much always push homework back if he is asked, which is good because there was sometimes 3-4 assignments due at once. Group work is helpful. He makes a lot of dad jokes.

So this is my easiest class this semester. So many attempts for the exams that there is no reason to get anything less then an A. Very understanding professor and awesome power-points. Take this class online!

Ruedemann is the GOAT. He gave me extensions on homework when I asked for them. It's very easy to follow along in his videos. Never used a textbook. Gives you unlimited tries on the homework and gives you multiple attempts on the midterm and final. Gave us a second, easier midterm to replace the original because he thought it was too hard.

Prof. Ruedemann didn't explain the major concepts well. We did the math on paper, but a lot of students weren't able to "picture" what they were doing throughout the semester. The tests are mostly webwork questions and a good grade is very doable if you're willing to do the work outside of class. He has great dad jokes but a very monotone voice.

Gives you groupwork every day which counts for attendance. Speaks in a very monotone voice and makes it hard to stay awake for lectures. Sends lecture notes after every class so makes it hard to motivate yourself to go and listen to him if he justs send you the notes

Comment:
Ruedemann was very monotone and straightforward. If you're looking for excitement in this class -- you won't. If you listen, show up for group-work, and do Webwork you'll be fine. He made us watch videos for MAT 267 online, so prior knowledge before lecture was helpful. His grading is also straightforward and lenient. Seldom jokes, seldom funny.
