I didn't like her, to say the least. I'm not a yes-man, I love challenging with questions and be active and vocal with my opinions. Could be a good idea, if your opinions match her's. I put an incredible amount of effort in the class, and couldn't help the feeling the my grade was decided beforehand. Would never ever consider taking her again.

Compassionate demeanor, but tough course. It's her way or the highway. Grade is based primarily on six essays (2 in-class). Keep up with the reading, take good notes, generally be attentive, and you'll do fine.

This is a solid professor. She's kind and clear, and gives valuable comments when grading essays. She isn't as open-minded or charismatic as I'd like. Those weaknesses are negligible if you're something of a wallflower as a student, but they might be unacceptable if you're passionate in class discussion or writing and have a differing opinion.

She's a great teacher. She grades kind of hard on essays, but she'll explain to you why you got that grade both on your paper and in person. She does her best to help you brainstorm your essay, and she gives you advice during her office hours. She values her students and wants them to succeed.

She's a great teacher. If you get below a 70 she'll let you re-write the essay because she wants you to pass. She knows what she's talking about, and gives really good feedback. Textbook use is mandatory. She's strict about attendance.

I got only one B on an essay (the rest were high Cs). She is a hard grader but she is very fair; she wants everyone to pass. Try to not miss more than 2 classes, and you should be fine. I learned a lot from her class.

She is a great professor! I love how she allows us to talk about the reading we do. I also like the group works we do during class. It really helps with the in class essays she gives us. If you do what she tells you to do she will probably give you a good grade.

What a sweet lady. Absolutely loved her. Took her for Honors English for both 1A and 1C. Couldn't have had a better English professor. She's tough but she's fair. I absolutely adored going to her class. Cant recommend her enough.

If you are planning to take ENG1AH professor Bachmann expects you to work hard. We had two quizzes from readings (Pride and Prejudice and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof), and five essays for a semester. She also expects students to do homework and participate in class.

I LOVE Dr. Bachmann. She is passionate about the literature she chooses and she analyzes it thoroughly to help prepare you for the essays (which she expects to include class notes). There are 5 essays, 2 in class and 1 research. She doesn't grade too hard and gives excellent feedback to help to you improve with each one. I recommend !

I absolutely love Susan. She is such a sweetheart and the lectures really involve every student. Take any of her classes and you will fall in love. Don't be scared with the score here. she is a super easy grader and will most likely give you B's no matter what.

Like any other English class, participation is essential. She expects to hear from everyone during lectures but she doesn't expect much in terms of what they say. It's almost like there aren't any wrong answers to her, but only if your answer sounds like you read the material. TestQuizzes are mult. choice and easy. Barely any homework. JUST READ

Dr. Bachmann is absolutely brilliant. She is a sweet, caring lady. She is expert at engaging the class in discussions. As a result, you really get to know your classmates which is a stimulating and fulfilling experience. My classmates agreed that they look forward to her class. Took Shakespeare class. You have not met someone with a passion for Shakespeare until you meet Bachmann! She's super into Shakespeare and really goes in depth w/ it and makes you appreciated it. Interesting, but tough class. Lots of in class essays including final + annotated biblio. and more essays. Books: Macbeth, Lear, Tempest, Ant + Cleo, MSND

She was a sweetheart, the only time she would get a little irritated would be when the class talked too much but other than that she was super nice and really helpful. the class was pretty boring but it wasn't difficult.
