Comment:
He's using the classes to undermine his own understanding of ethics. Respectable. He knows what he's talking about, but he doesn't have that disconnect that teachers have where they're massively intelligent but can't relate to the class. He's easy to relate to. Besides that, he's good with after-class talks, which I would suggest taking with him.

Scott was a pretty good professor, but I don't walk away thinking I learned anything. Sometimes his lectures were funny, but they were often canceled due to an illness he's recovering from. As someone who benefits from face to face time, this impacted my ability to learn. Overall, an easy class with a nice professor. Make sure you like studying!

Scott was great, he cancels a lot due to his illness. However if you show up to class there is no way you'll fail.

Scott Wilson is a good professor and he's humorous during his lectures. Said lectures are still boring but that has more to do with the content not the person lecturing. Class was cancelled quite a bit because of a medical condition he's recovering from, so keep that in mind when picking classes.

He was a nice prof who knew what he was talking about. However, he cancelled class quite often due to his medical condition. We had to have another teacher take over just a couple weeks before the semester ended. Really easy grader although it did take a while.

I took his PHL 3000 class online and although it can be difficult to keep up in an online class on your own, it was the most organized and best laid out online course I've taken. Lectures are very easy to follow (I recommend taking physical notes) and expectations were very clear.

Dr. Wilson gives good lectures that helped a lot on the tests, but took FOREVER to grade anything. It is now two weeks past the end of the term and I still don't have a grade for the last two tests (there were only three tests).

Professor Wilson was a great professor and definitely knew what he was talking about. He made the class enjoyable. However we missed several days of class because he was sick so we weren't able to cover everything. He might take medical leave so just a heads up. He loves what he teaches, easy to talk to and take advantage of his office hours!

He managed to teach Critical Thinking (PHL 3000) in such a way that it was actually understandable. He even went above and beyond the curriculum and taught us other related aspects of thinking critically.

He's awful. I hated this class and would never take him again. It was confusing and boring and he is very lazy. It took forever for him to grade anything and we barely had class. I wouldn't take it with him if you have the option not to.

Logic was a difficult class but Scott is an awesome teacher and tries his best to get you to understand. He cancels class a lot due to illness but only tests us over topics we go over in class.

Excellent, majorly intelligent, cool guy. During my semester, however, he was often sick, resulting in our class changing to an online course, which I did not like. We then had homework each night and pages upon pages of notes to read each day. Definitely a very helpful guy IN PERSON, not the best online. Does not reply to email timely either.

Very tough grader and expects you to agree with him and his ideals. He is friendly, yet on his essays, he does not elaborate much on what he wants to see. Class is mandatory or else you will be lost and you will miss the paper deadlines.

This guy is a great teacher. He is a little tough on grading sometimes, no one has ever gotten a 100% on a paper in his class. But nonetheless, take him, you won't regret it. My only complaint is the amount of time he spends grading, but I know it's hard to grade 80 papers quickly.

An extremely interesting, helpful guy. He was able to make complicated subjects easy to understand. Loves people with opinions. I might add philosophy as a minor thanks to Dr. Wilson! Attendence and reading assignments is a must or you'll get lost.

What a great guy. I don't like philosophy, but Wilson made me enjoy it. Attendance is part of the grade, but he gives you 5 free days to miss. Not much homework and the writing assignments were rare and minimal. I hate writing, which is why I took this course. Don't buy the smaller writing book because you only use it the first week or so.
