She met with me on a weekend to help me study. Um, yeah, there's lots of review questions, and its exactly what's on the exams. There's a book report for extra credit.

She's a nice lady who is willing to help you, but her lectures are beyond boring. She talks in a monotone voice & looks at you funny when you meet her for extra help and don't know the answer. She only gives three exams, but they're essay format, and there's a ridiculous amount of review questions. I, personally, wouldn't take her class again.

Professor Brachfeld's Intro to Marine Science class was not bad at all. She is very helpful and very kind. If you show up, pay attention and study youll do fine. She is not a hard Professor at all.

Great professor. Attendance not mandatory but I would suggest attending--especially Labs. Very approachable. 3 Tests that consist of essay questions, but all of the questions can be found on the syllabus!

Dr B loves what she does. That's what makes her such a great teacher. There is so much partial credit and extra credit on tests the mean was 80% on every test and there's a book report in case you mess up one test. If hard work creeps you out maybe college isn't for you.

OMG there are only PICTURES on the slides. Did ya notice they were maps and graphs and ocean photos and photos of the stuff ur learning? omg she DOESN'T spoon feed you word for word and she expects you to put some effort into it? UR at a UNIVERSITY. Grow up and study.

Aside the fact that she is terrible, her slides are all pictures, which in effect teach nothing. She is a rough grader, psychoanalyst, and she has no life but science. She creeped me out, and when it comes to grading she is so meticulous it makes any A student sick. SHE is a terrible teacher, better suited to be a scientist, not a teacher.

I've always hated science, but I ACED the first test and I think I can get an A in here. Its like everyone says, every exam question is in the syllabus practice list. She also covers stuff that is not in the book, so you have to come to class. She will meet with you to help you study. Really no excuse to do badly in this class.

Excellent teacher. No attendance. Gives partial credit everywhere. Will work hard to give you a good grade and ensures you understand it. Labs are okay and you never stay the whole time with the labs. Very knowledgable in field. Got me really interested in the class and the subject. Take good notes and don't just print out notes from online.

Really nice person, wicked funny sense of humor when she lets it show. How hard can it be when she gives you every exam question in the syllabus. After 3 months some people still haven't found that long list of essay questions. Come to class and you don't need the book.

Please be aware if you are into taking essay exams, i definately wont reccomend taking her. She is kind of helpful, but the material was to hard and i ended up withdrawing from the class. I prefer you to take Bio 101 instead. the exams are extremely hard.

Everything a prof should be. Knows her stuff, wants you to do well, and will spend hours helping outside of class. Nicest person I’ve ever met. She expects you to put in the effort, think for yourself, and has no tolerance for BS so don’t even try to lie/weasel/whine with her. Go to class, study the essay questions on the syllabus and its easy.

Awesome professor. Doesn't take attendance and the lectures are all online, but go to lecture anyway. Dr. B always goes over everything very well and gives in-class review sessions for her essay tests. Study a little and you'll do fine. Highly recommended.
