Professor Greenfield is a great instructor. What I would say distinguishes him from others is that he commits himself to making the students understand the material (e.g. website). He does this by engaging the students on all levels, occasionally adding humor to make the lecture more lively; top notch guy!

He is no doubt one of the best (if not the best) professor I've ever had a Rutgers. He is kind of crazy and like to make a fool of himself during class but sometimes this just helps to understand the material even better

Greenfield is one of the best RU has to offer. He actually cares about making his class as lively and entertaining as possible. To get the most out of his class, read the text beforehand. He does an amazing job with the material even if you miss a section of reading. Overall, he's perfect for Calc3.

By far the best professor I have had so far at rutgers. Crazy, crazy guy but definately knows his calculus. Thought he graded fairly (although I did get a few 99.8%'s) and overall the class I took (Honors section of Calc II) wasnt too hard. Funny, funny guy, and even though lectures werent "mandatorY", I guarantee you will never want to miss one

A great Calc 151 professor. He's very blunt, but friendly. His class is definitely not boring. He makes it entertaining and worthwhile. I learned A LOT from him. He really shows that he cares about his students. There is a workload just like any other Calc class but he encourages office hours. I highly recommend this professor.

By far the best math teacher i've ever had. I would take him again for any math class. He's not an easy grader, and the material was difficult, but he was willing to help each and every student who had enough interest to ask for help. Can be intimidating, but he's incredibly cool and helpful if you talk to him 1 on 1.

An amazing prof!!! Calc is very tough, but Greenfield is the guy to teach it. His lectures are hilarious and if u sit in the front, expect him to interact with u...alot. He's funny when he wants to be, but also can be very serious when he has to. He's very fair with grades and if u do the work, u'll be fine. He's the best prof. I had at RU so far.

Amazing professor!!! I hate Calc but he made class very fun and easy to pay attention to. He makes really hilarious jokes (some racial, but you know he's joking) and does CRAZY things. The exams are EXTREMELY hard but they are similar to the practice and previous exams so just practice. Homework and workshop is good for practice. Highly recommended

Sit in the front and go to every lecture, it will be the most entertaining math class you ever have. Don't bring food that he likes to class, he will eat it. The class is hard like it should be, but he is the best person to teach it. He is extremely helpful if you have any questions, and really cares if you understand the material.

His quirky style of teaching seems to get in the way of the actual teaching. His class is hard, but 251 is supposed to be. I was disappointed that because we spent so much time on simple things in the beg. of semester, he had no time to teach the hard stuff before the final. He does however keep an interesting online calc diary.

He's the man! Great teacher and a great guy. Keeps it entertaining, almost impossible to fall asleep during lecture. Certainly doesn't hold your hand throughout all the material, but he's not out to get you either. Highly recommended.

he's the best teacher I have seen at Rutgers. I had him last semester for calc 2 and he's real helpful if you take the time to ask. he's also passionate and enthusiastic about the topic and keeps you from falling asleep. the class does require you to actually work hard but it's all worth it in the end because you learn a lot. i definitely recommend

He is a good professor if you already had an introduction in calculus. His jokes are sometimes over the top, and his teaching style is really fast when teaching hard subjects. Ironic? Work hard in the class and you will pass, however assignments can be ridiculously hard.

He tends to ramble on with useless proofs, but class is a blast to attend. He is just so crazy and fun to listen to as he mocks students.
