She's quirky, but a basic professor. Only graded off of three exams with no extra credit offered. All material is presented in class, so it's important to attend. She has a serious problem with students being late so timeliness is important to her. If you attend class and study the material, you'll pass

This is easily the hardest class I have taken in undergrad, but Oberweis made sure her lectures addressed all of our questions. Her exams are ridiculously tough, though, so make sure you read the book and take your own notes as another form of studying!

Dr. Oberweis is awesome a the explaining things that the book makes complicated in 302. She would be the perfect professor if she would lighten up on her tests. An A in the class is very achievable, but you will have to work hard for it.

She is extremely knowledgable, but has difficulty translating information to her students. Most topics she covers, while others she for not. Her lectures are sometimes over explicit, which creates difficulty when making notes. Her tests are mostly application and very difficult. Requires a high level of understanding.

Inconsiderate, sloppy lectures, never follows the syllabus, doesn't use blackboard, tests cover material she does not, wastes paper, tough grader.. I could keep going. I'm a CJ major, had her for 3 classes. Knowledgeable but closed off to different interpretations of concepts. Overall poor class atmosphere. Students come together over disliking her

oberweis puts tricky questions on all of her exams making them very hard to do well on. I don't care for teachers that try and trick the students, so i wouldnt take her class again.

Shes an AMAZING professor. She knows the material front to back and will find different ways to explain it if you're not understanding it. You need to read and go to class to pass. Yes, she's a tough grader, but she warns you that her exams are not glossary exams. Need to know your material. Honestly best professor I've had

Dr. Oberweis is probably the best teacher I ever had during my undergraduate years at SIUE. She really knows her stuff when it comes to her courses and she lectures very well. I can clearly understand her, but you must listen. Take good notes, don't skip class, and study. Her tests are hard but direct. Participate in class as well!!

If there is another professor available, take the class with them, not Dr. Oberweis. Her grading is extremely tough and her questions are not clear, therefore when you get the question wrong, its your fault, not hers. Stay away from her if you can!

Dr. Oberweis, is a brilliant person and she wants you learn. This is not a beginners course so she expects you to have basic college level reading and understanding abilities. IF YOU ARE THERE TO LEARN YOU WILL! IF YOU FAIL IT IS BECAUSE YOU FAILED NOT THE INSTRUCTOR.

DO NOT TAKE A CLASS WITH THIS TEACHER. I had to take two classes with this teacher and she teaches you stuff that will not even be on the test. The things that you learn are put in a way that only she understands. When you ask for help she just tells you that its in the notes, or the book and that she doesn't know how to explain it any better.

AVOID THIS PROFESSOR AT ALL COSTS! rambles on and on, gives horrible notes, & makes you read a lot. The material in the book & your notes ARE NOT on the exam. I have never had a professor make exams so tricky. Its basically a waste of time studying because IT WILL NOT BE ON THE TEST.

I took this class online and it was very easy with my schedule. She would always answer my questions and tried to help when she could. Her quizzes are not easy though, make sure you take all the notes and read the book!!

She is a nice teacher, but not very clear when taking notes. You will spend a whole week going over one concept because she is not clear enough the first time teaching the material. Test are hard, you have to have masters level vocabulary to be able to understand what the questions are asking. I do not recommend her if you can take someone else,do!
