He is unclear on what he wants on writing assignments and seems annoyed when you ask questions. He doesn't have an attendance policy, but he scolds you if you do not attend regularly. I cannot enjoy hydrology now. I received a good grade but I will never again take one of his courses. He isn't in touch with modern students at all.

Speaks slowly to help you understand. Better than Chinese profs I've had that you can only understand by reading the powerpoints. Very helpful IF you make an appointment. Otherwise, he's hard to catch. Comes well prepared and gives excellent foundation before getting into the hard stuff. My third statistics class, but first that I learned in.

He is really knowledgeable about the topic, but he is really hard to understand sometimes. He thinks he is funny, but most people disagree. He is really nice and very helpful. Even though I dropped his class I plan on taking it in the future.

He is a brilliant man, but a boring lecturer. He is difficult to listen to for a long time due to his lack of comfortability with English. You have to read the book. You have to come to class. He does offer extra credit, so go up for that. Do not take him if you find science especially challenging, like me. It will be hard to understand.

He's has a thick accent, which makes him hard to understand. He's very nice and pretty amusing. If you study straight from the book you'll get an A, which means going to class is pointless, however he has an attendence policy. I went to class and did other work in the back and got an A. I'm also horrible at all science, but still did well in here.

Not always easy to pay attention to, but his tests are pretty easy. In addition to giving 5 to 10 points extra credit for attendance, he gives out study guides with everything you need to know for the test. I made an A in the class without ever opening the book. Easy A.

Though the class was boring & it was difficult to understand him due to his thick accent, he taught directly from his PowerPoints, which he posted online. The detailed study guides were basically straight from the PPs. He drops the lowest test grade & offers EC, so his class wasn't that bad...just make sure u read & don't miss too many classes.

He's difficult to understand through his thick accent. His class is pretty easy if you read the book. You don't have to go to class to do well, but he has a strict attendence policy so it's a good class to go to and do work for another class in.

Lots of people in my class didn't like Prof. Liu because they were mostly immature freshmen who like to complain. Liu is a nice and knowledgable man who does his best to help his students succeed.
