Comment:

gives you multiple ways to solve a problem, but doesnt finish the method. hard to understand, gives a ton of homework that has no point value and only teaches by lecture, no outside resources. The book needed for 119 can not be bought used, so you have to pay $100+ for a book that teaches high school freshman algebra.

There is a very very very big language barrier. Also DO NOT ask questions she will yell at you. No seriously she screamed at us one day for not understanding what she was teaching. She's a terrible professor who will stop or slow down for absolutely nothing! I did four days tutoring and the SI sessions plus never missed a class. I still got a D.

Like many students, I was not ready for college math when I joined. I believe that the math department is not ready to take that extra step in helping with this matter. That is why I did not rate all five stars. Zhang herself is super nice and respectful! She grades more than fairly (curves at the end, extra credit). Take her for any math course!

BEST I'VE EVER HAD Had her for College Algebra and Trig. Come to class, do the homework, ask questions you will do good Now in calculus I still refer to notes from her class wish I had her. She is always willing to help, answer questions, and interested in feedback. E-mail her, go to her office, stay after class She WILL WANTS to help

Ive always had trouble with math but not as much as ive had in this math class. Her accent makes it hard to understand what you are saying, she moves way to fast throughout the class. She refuses to answer questions. I dropped the class along with 6 other people I know because everyone was failing. Do NOT take with this teacher.

I have not had a hard time in math all my life, but with her I was in tears at the end of most classes from frustration. I had to have tudoring 3 times a week and still failed the test. I had to withdrawal from the class.

Professor Zhang is not clear at all. I missed only one class and she claimed that was why I was failing. Anytime you ask her questions she will just redo the problem and not explain to part you don't understand. She moves WAY too quick also, you have no time to comprehend the material let alone get tested on it! I WOULD HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND!

Comment:

Hard to understand and not good at answering questions. Tries to be hellpful but can not seem to explain things understandable. If you do not get it the first time, you will have to solve on your own. Does stay after class for students, but still has trouble communicating.

Do the homework!! She doesn't collect it but does begin each class with a time to ask questions about the homework to be sure you understand it. Really important in this class since all of the answers are not in the back of the book to check your work. Gives extra credit assignments. English is a bit rough but great teacher!!!

After being out of school for 13 years this class had me terrified, until the first day. She is willing to help you after class and takes time at the beginning of class to explain any homework problems that you have. Do the homework, pay attention and you will have no problems. Quizes frequently for comprehension and tests after every chapter.

Dr. Zhang moves through the material at a pretty fast pace to cover what is required for the semester. If you do the homework and bring questions to class, you will have no problems. She is always willing to go over questions. Tests and quizzes are very straightforward.

Mrs. Zhang is very very very helpful and not very hard. Her quizzes and tests are pritty simple if you have read the book or at least sat in class and listened. Zhang will go over anything you have questions on and She is very nice.

I personally could not understand this teacher at all and failed her class but turned around and made a B in Dr. Zaman's class. There's something wrong there.
