Comment:

A very fun class to take in person. Attendance is mandatory-ish. She will pass a paper for you to sign in and attendance counts for a grade but it is a very small part of grade. She goes over homework with you in class so you can get an A on it. She basically gives you the answers. Tests are online and proctored on Webcourses. Very easy though!

Comment:

Here is how it works you only meet with her around 6 times and the way she speaks about the material makes you feel like you're a child . Her classes are the most boring thing ever but are necessary for participation points. There's also proctored exams which are NOTHING like what she teaches. So far the average exam grades are 65% for the class!!!

Comment:

Super passionate about what she's teaching and makes it very easy to learn the material. Took this class mixed mode, so there were a lot of annoying little online assignments but they were all very easy and on quizlet.

Yeah she is easy but her class is so disorganized! It is annoying. Its all modules but all over the place. So much busy work. She takes forever to grade so you never really know what you have. Tests weigh so much that nothing else will bring up your grade but if you dont do good on them youre screwed.

She loves group projects. Weekly discussion posts due where people wait until last min to post so you cant reply to anyone. Big group project at end where people again wait until last minute to contribute. You could be great student but you can be held back & brought down by all the group work. A lot of busy work each weak. Test were ok.

Comment:

I've taken her before and I vowed never to do it again unfortunately she was the only one teaching this course. She loves to hear herself speak so the PowerPoints have a voice over and there are webinars. Despite it being an online course there still is a group project. Also, she loves busy work. Material isn't difficult it's just a lot of work.

This woman loves busy work and GROUP PROJECTS. Weekly group discussion posts where people wait until last minute to post so you can't do your responses. Group presentation project where again people don't want to contribute. She assigns so much busy work with case studies every week and quizzes. Its easy to get an A in the class but so tedious.

Dr. Valdes admitted to taking on too much during the semester. Very slow at grading, made us buy the book only to tell us halfway through the semester that she didnt like it. Unclear instruction on assignments. Group work due weekly. Never received feedback on exams or why we received certain grades on assignments.

This class was hybrid but very disorganized. Assignments and exams were posted randomly with no set schedule. Only 5 actual class days. Pretty easy class but the grading on some assignments were not clear as to what she was looking for. Exams are PROCTORED! Quizzes are mostly on quizlet. Pretty much paid a lot of $ for an easy A to boost my GPA

Her entire class is online, as in on Quizlet! Why am I paying for an education when its something that is accessible to everyone?! Sure if you're looking for an expen$ive but cheap A then I'd take her class. She also does not show up as a hybrid class (meaning you pay for all classes) and she only teaches 5 classes the whole semester!

Comment:

PET 3125 Fitness and Weight Management. She is kind and very excited to teach. Her class is easy to understand and she is willing to answer any questions. However, because her class is so simple she does NOT accept late work. My class was hybrid so attendance was mandatory. She had a few reading assignments from the book.

Great professor. She makes everything clear and straight forward. She teaches very simply and her tests are very simple. Attendance is graded. She does occasionally give extra credit for showing up when there aren't many people in class. Assignments and quizzes are easy. She will tell you that you need the book. Listen, you don't need the book.

I took the hybrid portion and that was the best decision from what i heard from other people taking the class. The exams were "proctoroed" with a webcam watching you & theres only 3 that are so heavily weighted, so that's one negative but other than that quizzes were on quizlet

Easy class, but attendance is mandatory. If she has an online alternative, I'd suggest taking that. She still incorporates online discussions & quizzes in her in-person class, so might as well spare yourself from her unnecessarily long lectures. She also is not very current on her info, and some of it contradicts current gold standards.

Really easy class and Dr. Valdes is obviously easy on the eyes. She made the class very exciting though and I honestly can say that I will miss it because it was a blast. When you can have so much fun while learning and getting graded - you really can't beat that.

Mot. Aspects class was a lot of fun. Lot of students in it, but certainly the homeworks are very easy cuz their all online, and you can refresh it to get them correct. About four quizzes, all from the homeworks, word for word. The paper/pres. was a joint effort so get a good partner, and easy topic. SHE'S SO HOT!
