Comment:

She is a very good professor. You can ask her any question and she'll answer it the best she can. Tests and quizzes were hard, but I got a B by coming to class and doing the homework. She does get annoyed if no one participates or does not do the work. If you need to pass Math, I highly recommend taking her.

I took her for math 250 and totally hated her class, she was annoying to me and i didnt like her style. she makes you relax before a test. so i got a c in 250. i took her again for 252 but this time i went along with her teaching technique and actually enjoyed the class and got an A. she allows a cheat sheet and she is very helpfull. great teacher

Very strict, everything about her test being hard, and everyone struggling is true. Try A. Juden or J. Wilson. I got a B in Juden's class w/o hw because his lectures are that good. Wilson lectures are good too

I got a solid C in this class& thats by pulling all nighters just before the exams. If you take the time to learn the material, read the book,or seek for help, this class is def a breeze. She knows what she's teaching most of the time, but i just wished she was more prepared when she's going over examples.

Prof. Gracey truly empathizes the concerns of every student. She plays music in the background to set a different mood, posts her daily lectures online, goes over every type of problem step by step in class if time allows, encourages questions, gives exams that are very doable, and has a passion for math that is contagious!

In calc 252 i had to prove the epsilon/delta limit theorem for a quadratic in a private one-on-one office interview w/my prof; I did this successfully with no preparation. And received a B without really trying. My 252 Prof was veryimpressed & said I should have gotten an "A"; in Gracey's class I would be lucky to pass. She is a terrible teacher.

great proffesor, had her for math 251 and 252. It is calculus, so you can not expect this classs to be easy. If you cant pass this , i would seriously reccomend a change in your major.

Don't take her for math unless u enjoy failing; she is very strict. Will not curve exams if 1 person gets a good grade, even if half the class is failing! Can't explain even simple problems; plays loud distracting music during lectures. And has trouble solving problems in class--we had to help her more than once! NO quizes just hard exams.

She plays very loud music in class; is a very hard grader, gives only exams, doesn't drop any. Does not give any quizes or grade homework so u have to pass her very hard exams, which her lectures don't prepare you for. She will not tell you even what to study or what will be emphasized on an exam. Then will test you on stuff she didn't cover!

Just do the HW and you are fine; her quizzes and tests range from fairly difficult to moderately easy; no gimme problems. I got an A, but most students struggled miserably. And study the hardest HW problems.

i took this class both 251 and 252 from fall to spring. let me tell u she can TEACH. like forreal no joke if math is ur major she's the teacher to go to. hw is pretty long but worth it coz its part of ur grade as well. she gives lots of opportunities to raise ur grades. BUT tests are hard so STUDY :) i love her so much though. prepared me so much

Prof. Gracey is a really nice and helpful person, but she is a tough professor. Her exams in particular can include some of the tougher problems in that section, which require you to invest a good deal of study time. Her lectures were sometimes not clear or helpful and a LOT of independent study is needed, especially if you're not a math/eng major.

Everyone needs to realized that once you get into a higher math, you need to put your two cents in. This isn't high school. Gracey is great. She knows the material well and her lectures are informative. Don't blame the your bad grade on the instructor--blame yourselves. She is tough, but she prepares you really well for higher math.

Excellent professor!!!! She explains mathematics very effectively. I would recommend Mrs. Gracey to dedicated students that enjoy learning math. Do your homework and you'll be fine.
