Anton is nice, you're in and out of lab w/in an hour. He doesn't lecture which can make labs challenging but as long as you pay attention and do the pre labs you'll be fine! You have weekly quizzes. Midterm/final are a piece of cake if you know what you are doing. DO NOT need the lab manual.

Dumars is a solid choice for a lab professor. His quizzes are weekly and can be tough, but as long as you work to finish you lab you'll get out within an hour and a half.

Lab is like any other lab. Pre-labs and weekly quizzes. Midterm was the hardest thing I've ever taken in my life. I don't even feel like I could've studied more to prepare for it. It was just hard. He wears the exact same outfit every lab. Cool guy and good lab professor, I just hate geology so it was a drag for me.

Such a cool guy! Just show up and pay attention to the lectures. Super laid back and attendance isn't mandatory. Offers study sessions to help and you don't need the book. TAKE HIM!

DO NOT BUY THE LAB MANUAL. He never uses it and you end up printing out all your prefabs and labs. He's a nice guy and you can tell he doesn't care about his class too much. Very lax and understanding if you are absent. He let me make up a lab and turn in one late. Weekly quizzes are hard if you don't do the prefab before hand.

Was my 101 lab instructor. Very knowledgeable and helpful. He answers any question (rare for a lab instructor). Gives a weekly quiz that's easy if you just read the prelab and get's you so prepared for the practicals that they are very easy. Nice and personable staff members seem to be the norm in the Geology department.

I had Dumars before. He is a great professor. Pretty easy class. Easy quizzes. Checks labs based on completion not accuracy. Tests were a little tough but they were departmental. He's easy but you learn alot.

Surfer dude! When not at school he surfs at Folly Beach and lives on the beach and doesnt shave. Only grades quizzes and exams on accuracy. Prelabs and labs graded on completion. Exams are hard! Easy class if you study for exams and quizzes. Always get out early! Def. recommend him.

Nice, easy going guy, very entertaining. His labs were boring, but he never checked them...basically 100 if you did it, but for the class being so easy, his midterm and final were difficult. I would def. reccomend his class to anyone, major or non-major!

Great professor- midterm was tough if you didn't know your rocks, but if you study it's pretty easy. Quizzes once a week (every class). Really funny and very laid back. Final is NOT accummulative which is nice.

I gave Mr. Dumars a poor rating last semester, but he has honestly made great strides at impoving. The tests were mostly multiple choice. If you hate science and just need to get thru it, go with Anton. He does everything he can to help you out! An all around great guy!

Prof Dumars was totally helpful, funny, friendly, and very knowledgeable. If he doesn't know something, he'll say so. His tests/quizzes/grading are fair - but of course...pls study. I had no problem contacting him or getting any kind of help. Most highly recommended class!
