Boring class especially bc I have experience with Prop and Probate. 3 tests and no assignments. That was nice. No busy work, just the tests. I was able to miss a few classes and it wasn't the end of the world. He reads from the book so if you take notes, you wont have to buy it. However, since the tests are typically open note, I would get it.

I had him for property and probate as well and he is by far the best professor I have ever had!! He cares so much about his students, he went above and beyond by helping me in other classes, and has a great sense of humor which makes class his classes interesting. He is a great person and great professor.. I highly recommend him to everyone!

This professor is a no nonsense professor. He cuts out all the busy work and tells you exactly what you need to know. Class graded on 3 exams but he tells you exactly what will be on them. Class is a little boring but make sure you go so you don't miss anything

In all my many years of college, he's the best prof I ever had. Focuses on the important material, breaks it down so it's easy to understand, tells you exactly what he wants you to know for exams, and questions on tests are fair and generally easy to understand. Makes it clear what to take notes on and gives you time time to write. Makes class fun.

He is the absolute best prof for Legal Studies. I've taken other profs and they act like the students are already lawyers and should know everything. Art applies the text and lectures to real life situations. I've learned more in his class than all other LS classes combined. Wish he taught all my LS classes. Wish he could be my advisor!

This is a wonderful professor. In every class I felt like I learned so much and he always had a way of making students WANT to learn more. Wish he taught all of my classes. He is probably the best professor I have ever had. He is very helpful and gives real life examples. Learned a lot...and it is all relevant instead of just useless info.

Art makes the class really easy to grasp. He is one of GVSU's BEST. Lively and gives colorful examples. He will even help you on an exam if he sees you really struggling. He really cares about his students. An all around great guy! Highly recommended!
