Comment:

This class was extremely boring and his lectures did not help or teach the subject much at all. His class had too much work involved, and the assignments were not worth much points. Your grade relied heavily on your test scores and that was it. The assignments were worth minimal points and attendance is required. I would take another class.

Comment:

I would not recommend taking this class at all. It is pointless, hard and a lot of work. In fact, you hardly learn anything that will help you in your future career. He assigns a bunch of papers and homework assignments and he himself is not clear on the grading criteria. His lectures are really long and boring, just avoid his class overall.

Comment:

Parks knows what he's talking about. I enjoyed the class. He's always there when you need help, and he gives detailed feedback on your work. There is a textbook required for the course, but it was never needed.

Comment:

Boring class. Nice guy. Attendance mandatory. The tours were interesting. I felt like I was in high school again. He doesn't mind giving people A's if you put in the work. 7 mini papers (20% of grade total + attendance), 1 book report, 1 presentation/paper (you choose). 1 midterm; 1 final. Tests were really difficult, but he also curves.

Parks, is a clear cut professor. You show up to class, you listen to his lecture mainly stories about his life experiences, which you don't necessarily need to take notes for. You have about 7 assignments which is gives you dates for when their due. His midterm was hard but he does curve depending on class average. Alright professor I guess.

I dreaded going to his class. It was extremely boring and I wanted to fall asleep for most of it. His notes are not easy to follow and he doesn't post them online for his students to study. His tests were hard and there were not a lot of homework assignments for us to boost our grades.I do not recommend taking his class.

I would not recommend his class, it is extremely boring and just not worth your time or anything. All it is is listening to him lecture and he is really boring, it's not interesting, in fact sometimes it would make me fall asleep. Tests can be difficult as well, so be prepared to study a lot and work for the grade you want to receive.

I would not recommend this professor, all it is is lectures, which for the most part are not engaging and really boring. The information being passed on is not really helpful to the course at all. His tests are tough as well, and there is hardly any HW to boost your grade up. I would not recommend this class because it is really boring and hard.

His class was extremely boring, his lectures were not interesting nor where they much any helpful to the class. There are a few written assignments due, but it's mainly just lectures and tests. I wouldn't necessarily want to take him again for anything he can be unclear on the grading too. I just felt like coming to class everyday was for nothing.

Parks is very nice and has a lot of experience. The lectures were sometimes boring and made me zone out. However, the class was super easy and if you showed up to class and paid attention, you don't even have to study and you will get an A. He is not that hard of a grader.

Everyone says this class is an easy A course, but alas, it's really not. I thought the course was not that easy, his tests were difficult and I felt the lectures were really boring especially as it was all lecture and nothing else but a few assignments and a paper. He is very knowledgeable regarding the subject, but it's just very boring.

This for me was really boring and the course consisted of purely all lecture and some hw assignments, tests and then a few projects. He is not clear on how he grades, and is just overall really boring. It was 3 days a week for 1 hour and I didn't enjoy the class much. It was boring!!

This class was super easy. There were 5 assignments, 1 book report, 1 class project, the mid-term, and the final. The whole class is a lecture but class content is interesting and relevant. The Professor is also very knowledgeable and reasonable. Easy A if you do all the assignments.

Parks is easily one of the most boring professors, all he does is lecture everyday. The lectures sometimes were interesting, but most of the time they were boring. The class consisted of like 5 hw assignments, 3 tests and 2 projects, and then all lecture. It's not as easy as ppl say, he grades hard on the projects. The tests are kinda tough too. :/

I actually found this class to be rather a bit boring as it was simply all lecture. The lectures were him mostly just giving stories of his past experience so they were boring, but at least he was funny at times throughout the course. I felt he graded hard, and it wasn't clear on how he graded our assignments. It was an okay class overall, decent.

Parks is a really boring professor, and I didn't think he was that easy as people say he is. I thought that coming to class was pointless and it was just really boring, it was just him telling stories and whatnot. The tests were difficult in my opinion, and the projects, I felt he graded hard on them. For some it may be easy for others not so much.

Bill Parks is extremely interesting. He likes to talk a lot so if you're not a morning person, I suggest taking an afternoon class with him. The class consists of 5 assignments, a book report, and an end of the semester project. The assignments are easy but time consuming.

Professor Parks is one interesting professor. He doesn't much work, just like 5 assignments and 2 major projects. He's not clear on what he expects for those assignments and projects either, especially on the projects, he is very vague and your grade is affected by it. He isn't clear on many things, class is very boring, overall a meh teacher. :(

I took Professor Parks for Journalism 155, Mass Media and Society. The class itself was extremely boring, all you do is come to class and listen to him lecture, which is him simply put telling various stories. Don't get me wrong, he's a cool guy and all but boring. The class itself had like 5 assignments, 2 major projects and 3 tests. Overall, meh.
