I love Dr. Benis! Have had her for 2 classes; she is extremely nice and helpful. She will give you all the extensions you need. Long papers and a lot of reading, not an easy A but you will learn so much and she grades fairly. She is super smart and you will learn things you never would have picked up on in the literature. She's so well-spoken too!

I've had three classes with her. All great even though I took two for degree requirements and dreaded reading reems of poetry. Be ready to read 80 pages every night. Listen, take notes and focus on papers and you will do well. She is a great prof.

She is AWESOME! I loved having her! The class was manageable and doable with the right amount of work load...she is very fun and approachable although watch out on your essays...she looks for very good and clear arguments that are well backed up...also, take GOOD NOTES...a lot of the tests come from the NOTES

She is a great professor. Helps you out alot if you are willing to meet with her. She also picks great and interesting books to read, which makes the class so much fun. The discussions can get boring in class but if you participate you will enjoy it!

i love toby benis. will you marry me? she totally got what i call 'the burnout after burnout'. not bad at all for a senior seminar, only 2 papers,2 tests,some quizzes which i failed horribly and a presentation thingie. you rock you odd hippie lady, grading wasn't too rough and discussion was 'hip'
