Blane's awesome! If you hate math, chances are you'll struggle with his math-theory proof-like nature. Personally, I put average effort into it and ended up with a high C that he helped me work up to a B. Go to him, he's willing to help. (Hidden knowledge: Ask him to do his Prof. Frink impersonation from the Simpsons. It's HILLARIOUS!)

Blaine was rather useless. He'd rather teach us about poker or casino statistics rather than actual stuff we'd be tested on. Our entire class would be gone after twenty minutes. He was rather poor in his teaching and in his fashion decisions.

he's the type of teacher you either love or hate... he uses a lot of proofs. personally that helps me. he expects a more thorough understanding of the subject and cares less about the algebra required to get the final answer

As tempting as it may be... it's probably in a student's best interest to go to class. Yes, he goes over homework questions alot... but he also explains the material and WHY something works better than any book (particualary THIS book) ever could. He will go over the material again and again and repeat the word "inuitively"... but it pays off.

If you're expecting statistics to be easy, don't take this guy. I like him because he really REALLY wants you to understand the subject, but it is in no way easy. You HAVE to study. He's a really cool guy and if he knows that you make an effort in his class, he will work with you on your grade.

AWESOME TEACHER!!! I'm serious. This guy knows exactly what he's talking about and he knows how to teach it. He'll answer quesitons until you understand, and he prepares you VERY well. You actually learn in this class...TAKE HIM!!!

Funny guy. Blane digs deep into the question "why" in calculus. Helpful: answers questions until U understand. Prepared class best for final and mid-term than any other teacher. Quizes and tests can be tricky but if you practice it shouldn't be a problem. Go 2 class, pay attention, ask questions, and do homework, then U should be OK.

He's really helpful.You definatly have to pay attention in class, but he will go over and over stuff till you get it if you ask questions. He's eccentric which makes the class better.His only problem is that he's so smart that he tends to skip steps when working out problems,but is willing to work out problems till you get it Quizes are hard,but

This guy is so smart. I have seen smart people in my life but i do not remember ever seeing someone who can run calculations through his head as fast as blane can. He makes me feel stupid Anyway, nice guy, funny helpful. He is definitely not trying to destroy you even though he could easily do so.

GO TO CLASS! His tests are very tricky you never know how much anything is going to count. You could miss one problem and it could count 5 or 20 pts. Not willing to help you at all. You will need to pay attention in class and still teach yourself!
