She's a TERRIBLE professor!! Each class u miss she takes off 15 points and she doesn't even care if u have a valid excuse! Last time I checked I'm not in kindergarten and I don't need someone to tell me how many days I can miss. I pay $8,000 a year and I can miss as many days as I want for that hefty price tag. She's a huge b****! never uses the book either,don't waste ur money..

Her class is the definition of a writing intensive class. Everyday we would have close to 10 pages or more of notes. Other than that its a pretty easy class she gives you a study gude that is helpful and you have three 500 word papers and two tests..if you go to class everyday and do your work its easy to get an A.

Dr. Ellis was cool. I had her for African American Music and Beyond; she brought a different insight to me. I felt that I actually learned some things that I never knew before. I recommend to take her as a teacher. I also had her as an ensemble director and she brings a stern yet tender teaching style.

i thought Dr ellis was a great teacher, she always made corny jokes which kept the class pretty entertained her teaching was cool we didnt jus sit and listen to her talk we listened to all types of music and got to dance around a little bit. the tests were easy if u pay attention i loved the class

I just received my grade and got an A. This class was the easiest class. At first I was reading the text but soon realised that everything you need to learn is in the lectures. Write down all her slides in a notebook. Then when its time for the test, she will give you a study guide. Turn in all your papers and you should have an easy A. I did.

Dr. Ellis was moody most of the time and didn't seem to like it when others asked questions. Was not very aproachable. She changed the date our papers/presentations were due by moving it up a week. Wasn't clear on some assignments. Needs more knowledge of powerpoint and organization of class. Easy class.

Easy class. She has very strange mood swings. DO NOT ASK QUESTIONS! ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS! She seems to favor people who speak out in class. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK! I didn't open it once and got an A. There is "required" reading, but it doesn't show up on the tests. Very easy class, easy assignments, easy exams, but very mean.

This class was very easy as long as you study forr the tests. Had like 3 papers due that were easy you can do them the night before. Dr.Ellis is SOOOO MEAN!!! She is very rude and scarcastic. Dont ask questions but answer hers.

If you have an enjoyment and appreciation for music you would like the class. I think I have learned alot in her class. She can be overwhelming at times but every journey have some sort of struggle. Overall this class kept my attention and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more.

I think that Dr. Ellis was cool. Her class was NOT hard at all. The projects that we had to do were easy; such an easy A class. I would recommend this class to anyone that wants toboost their GPA.
