I got an A- and A in my previous courses and got a C in this. My worst grade ever at SLU. A Great person. Brilliant, but don't take unless you are a major or are an exceptional student. The readings are impossible. Nobody ever wanted to talk. He was a very vague person...too smart for us undergrads to keep up w/ and the midterm/final were superhard

He is an awesome professor. Took him for Human Nature and it was a life-changing class. Would recommend this class to everyone that has a 300 level requirement. It is very interesting and will make you question everything around you. minimal work, he is an awesome teacher and most of class is discussion anyway. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Nice guy. Midterm was very hard, most of us ran out of time. Daily readings and questions to answer--pain. Also randomly calls on you. He's passionate about philosophy, and always wants to make sure everyone understands. If you're into Philosophy and don't mind the loads of work, then you won't have a problem. I don't know if I would take him again

Nice guy, has the potential to be a good teacher but isn't quite there yet. Tries to cover too much material over the course of the semester and then runs out of time. Good lectures but somewhat disorganized. Enthusiastic and helpful.

An excellent professor and a great person. He really cares about the students and is passionate about what he does. I used to hate philosophy until I took his class. This professor changed the way I look at things, other people, and myself. Highly recommended!

Had him for Human Nature. He's definitely opinionated but really respects you if you have an opposing point of view. Really knows his stuff, willing to help with papers if you go to his office hours. I would take him again.

hard class and papers are primary focus so writing skills a must here; be clearly opinionated & you'll be OK; 1st graded paper will be your worst-don't worry, you should pull through; very knowledgable and keeps it very interesting w/ discussion and relating lectures to students' lives/real world

A really good teacher and a really nice guy. Tests are tuff and there is a lot of work involved. I would consider finding an easier teacher, definately not a blow off class.

Explains things from so many angles that even my dog could comprehend his lecture. Respects students opinions and viewpoints. Do the work, participate in class, and you will pass (not for lazy students).
