Comment:

Her due dates at 8:00 am on Thursdays, so it was a pain in the beginning to remember to submit assignments the night before. Not very interactive and relies on the textbook for almost all of her teachings. Didn't answer my emails when I had questions and a lot of us in the class ended up emailing each other for help. 10/10 don't recommend.

"Dr." Reed is AWFUL. Her assignments are unclear and as mentioned, she responds with snide. She literally changes the syllabus all the time. I found it impossible to keep up with her clarification emails. SO unorganized. She makes an assignment that should be ok, SO difficult because of her lack of clarity. And then you lose points on stupid things

I would not recommend her for an online class at all. There is no clarity and she often replies to emails in a very snide manor. Doesn't give enough time/information on the assignment but takes points off for very trivial things, and doesn't seem like even she knows what she is teaching.

Changes the syllabus constantly, sometimes with very little notice. Not always clear on her instructions, sends a LOT of "clarification e-mails". Will take points off of quizzes if your answers are not EXACTLY the wording you read. Didn't seem to be well-versed in this subject. She extended an assessment deadline, then took it back 2 hours later.

very confused teacher, doesn't know what she is talking about. expect us to write exact words in the exam, if you didn't she will take points from you. exam is poorly distributed with lots of points on random material.

Carol was a great professor. She can be a little tough on grading, but overall it was a neat class. I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did. I feel like I learned a lot from Computer Technologies.

Professor Reed was quick to respond back to emails however she was clueless. She was never helpful when emailing for help, almost as if she has no idea about computers. Often tells students to "reach out to google" for help rather than being of any help herself. Won't take her again or suggest her to anyone.

I don't understand how she has a 4.0 on this website. She is nit picky and quite honestly not a fair grader (later she corrected my grade). She is CONSTANTLY emailing correction to her own assignments. Instructions for work is not clear at all, I found myself constantly emailing her for clarification. Would not take her class again.

Carol seemed like a solid professor who knew what she was doing, but I do question some of the material taught in CIS 127. The world of computers moves very quickly and a lot of info was already outdated. Like I said, though, that's probably the course itself. Mrs Reed was a good teacher.

I loved this class. The only bad thing I can say is that the course work can be hard, and sometimes she went too fast. But she was very very helpful and always fun. Tests are pretty easy if you know what you're doing, and there wasn't much homework, but if there was, it needed to be done. Great teacher, would take her class again.

The syllabus and class requirements are very detailed and exacting. I prefer something that is simple and laid out in a page or two. I think anytime there are over 8 pieces of paper entailed in a course, it makes it tedious. Also do not like that she makes students email her each assignment, you forget that part and get a zero. Not in grade school.

I took this class because it was a requirement. She is a nice enough person but I found her to be a very poor teacher. She doesn't explain things well and a lot of what she puts on the exams is nothing that she taught you. I would not take this class or her as a teacher again. It is also a very boring class.

Had to take a computer class, glad I took hers. She is very fair, VERY nice, and quite helpful. Plus, she likes cats! Easy going about how you hand in your HW assignments, as long as you do hand them in. No excuses cut it with her.

Carol Reed is a great teacher! She is more than happy to help you out, even during class! She is great about homework, allowing you to either hand her a hard copy, or e-mail it to her by the end of the day that it is due.
