Comment:

I took CS 205, back when it was called CS 205, with Terri as an instructor during Winter Intercession. Terri did not really teach and she assumed everyone knew everything that was covered in the course -- which was actually somewhat true. Terri seemed to lack enthusiasm and it seemed like she was probably there just for the paycheck.

It'd be really hard for anyone to make this class interesting. She took attendance, but the lectures didn't feel useful. If you do the tutorials in the book, then the weekly quizzes and assignments will be a breeze.

Class is EASY, as long as you know Microsoft Office programs. Has lecture days and work days. If you need help using Office programs, she is there to help and lecture. Kind of rude. Doesn't really like her job. She's a smart-elic.

Not the best teacher I have ever had. Assumed everyone had some experience with all the programs covered in class prior to this class. that was anoying for me since I had only had experience with Word and PowerPoint and no prior experience with Ecell or Acess. Terri expected everyone to find everything to be easy figure things out for themselves.

Very unprepared as a teacher, had a lot of excuses for every class. Dont have to attend class to get a good grade. Buying the book was a huge waste of money, so dont unless clueless about computer programs. Overall a poor rating.

Terri has a tendency to be vague with explanations and she goes off on tangents during lectures. Do the tutorials she provides -- easy A!

It's an expensive class but worth the easy A. Her lectures are usuless because you learn everything from the tutorials (which I highly recommend doing). The exams are extremely easy if you do the practice ones that she gives you. There's always help from TA's and if you attend the open lab hours then you're able to get your work down there as well.

This class was easy I noticed the students that had trouble are the ones who didn't even bother to do the practice tutorials. They spell everything out for you and make it easy. If you can use a computer you can most likely pass this class. You need to buy the book, make sure you get the right one...

Easiest class of my life. I missed two weeks of class due to medical issues and didn't miss ANYTHING. After that I went sporadically, and only really showed up for tests. Just do the assignments, and you're good on the test. I passed all with an A without studying.

If you know computer basics you should do well in this class. Class isn't mandatory but if you go everyday and do the assignments in class you're guaranteed an A. If you ever have a question a TA can answer it for you. If you procrastinate you probably will not do well in the class.

I only went to half of the classes and still got an A. She offered like 10 opportunities for make-up exams. I would recommend taking this class to help your gpa. Also, class never lasted the entire scheduled time usually let out after about 45 minutes.

Tests were set up as Word/Excel for the first one and Access/PP for the second. Both tests were simulated, so you had to set up each with a set of directions. Hard to know what's coming, but easy to pass.
