Loved taking her class. Gives you everything you need in lectures for tests. Hold review days in class before each test. Final presentation was in Shark Tank format, pitching you product to the class. Homeworks and test were very easy. SHE SHOULD BE TOP PICK MORE PEOPLE TAKING FINANCE. TAKE HER CLASS AT ALL COST.

Professor Goldberg is a gem, truly a gem. If you are looking to take her honors section or her regular section of Principles of Finance, look nowhere else. She does not teach you anything that doesn't matter and she truly cares about her students. I highly recommend her.

Comment:

My absolute favorite class! She's super witty and sarcastic, making class entertaining and something that I actually looked forward to. She is able to explain finance in really simple terms and there's no reason why you shouldn't do well in her class. She really cares about her students and knows her stuff! Love her, take her if you can!

Comment:

This class felt like one of the hardest I've ever had, but looking back it wasn't too bad. Cathy really prepares you for the real world, especially if you're planning on going into finance. Some homework assignments, a couple quizzes, two major tests, two projects (honors class). She is hilarious and really cares for her students once you know her.

Comment:

Excellent quality of instruction! It does not get better than Cathy at making finance digestible; lectures are crystal clear and there are no tricks in her exams. Plus, never a dull moment thanks to her charisma, sense of humor and energetic personality. Tough exterior, but a softie in heart; she cares about her students and helps them succeed.

Professor does a fun shtick with the class where she makes fun of everybody. Quite a bit of fun as long as you have minimal confidence and do your work. Clearly has a mastery of the subject and an aptitude for teaching. Best professor I've had at USF.

Took her in the summer for 305, she's by far the best professor I've taken at USF. Her lectures are crystal clear, no surprises on her tests, and she genuinely cares about students learning and getting something out of her class. If you're taking finance you need to take her, she's as good as it gets.

Took her 3 week summer class, it was intense and amazing at the same time. Not only was I challenge to learn stuff in 3 days and take a test the next day. But Ms G really spices the class up with her Energy. Hands Down recommended Full on, this is the Finance professor you need to take. Take it semester but if you u need a spot take it summer time

Cathy made finance very simple to understand even if you're not a finance major. She explains and then show you how to do practice problems. You show up to class, ask questions if you don't get it, do the work and it will be easy A! She tends to be humorous so don't take it to the heart. Simple as that.

Goldberg is an excellent prof. She gives you relevant work and CLEARLY explains everything. She is student focused so almost everybody enjoyed her and came to class. It's difficult getting her class because she is sought after. She sets you up for success. She has a lot of relevant experience and knows how to teach effectively. Take her if you can.

I was an accounting major but because of Professor Goldberg's class, I have chosen to switch to finance. She is really a fantastic lecturer and person. I'm not sure what the previous rating is saying because she is always there to help. She even let's you text her at home to ask questions. She is my favorite at USF.

Comment:

Can brush you the wrong way at times but there to help you. Weekly canvas quizzes, weekly HW assignments, 4 exams, finance calc ($20), and print out lecture notes w in class problems. You need the book for the HW questions but if you don't show up to class it's hard to get what she wants as her class notes are gold to the exams. Made finance fun!

I loved her class! She makes her lecture simple and clear. I would recommend her to my friends. There are homework and quiz every week, but it is easy if you engaged in class. No surprises on exams, everything is based on what she teaches.
