I LOVE CHRIS! He's an amazingly talented artist and though assignments are difficult, you can really progress even if you're coming in completely inexperienced. By the end of the semester, it feels really good to know how much you've improved as an artist. He's definitely the only professor I want to take every single semester haha.

Chris Lonegan is the best professor I have ever had. Amazing person and incredibly talented artist. I wouldn't even consider taking an art class with anyone else.

Lonegan is one of the funniest, most twisted professors at Loyola. Not only is he wonderful at art, he is very knowledgeable and humorous. I took 2D Design with him and he came up with projects that were very conceptual and structured, but still gave us tons of room to be creative. He is very serious about art and doesn't hesitate to criticize you.

I had Chris as an instructor for an intro drawing class. Not only is he an amazing artist, but he is a excellent instructor. If you ask for assistance he will be more than happy to discuss your work with you or help you improve your skillwork. There are MANY assignments. Be prepared to put in at least 5-8 hours for homework if you expect an AA-.

For a basic drawing class, a lot of work and high expectations. Was not good at giving feed back on homework assignments. His night classes consist of drawing for 3 hours then turning in your work finished or not. Not my cup of tea.

I took him for portrait and the figure. Very interesting man. Rode horses and boxed back in the day, now he's an artist with philosophy doctorate... natural transitions. Great guy. You do not have to be a "good" artist to succeed in his class, just show effort.

Chris Lonegan is the shining light of Loyola's Fine Arts department. He challenges you with projects and ideas that are so much more than "here's a set up, now draw it perfectly". He appreciates students of all levels, but if you have talent, dedication, go above the guidelines and take the class seriously, you will get an A.

I LOVE Chris! He's awesome. I feel bad for him, having to teach art here at Loyola.. It's like he's teaching arts and crafts to kids. The man clearly has talent and experience and yet he's stuck teaching a core class. He's awesome though, just do your work on time and do a clean, thorough job on it and you'll get a good grade. Awesome guy.

Really nice guy, genuinely cares about students as long as you show respect. Always willing to help/answer questions/give you suggestions. Expects genuine effort, easy to do well if you listen and really put work into the projects. Some proj's take up a lot of time outside class.

Chris Lonegan loks like an extra from "revenge of the nerds", but he used to be a boxer, so don't mess. This class is great, mixing paint will kill you 'cause it takes so long, but he's always eager to help you if you need it.It takes hard work to get stuff just right, but he doesn't ask too much of you. Downside, 3hr class. upside, you get it done.

AMAZING man. My favorite professor at Loyola. So nice. But most of all, his comments really do help you to improve. People take it as a blow off class, but its so much more than that. If you love art and drawing you'll actually see how much it helps you improve. If not, its still a fun class to take
