This was a hard class, but Crawford is an amazing professor. You have to do the readings or I don't think you can pass. He is really funny and gives great lectures. He really wants you to understand the material. I think he is a fair grader, but it can be tough if you struggle with the material.

Really amazing professor. Shares his personal experiences in anthropology and daily life to make the lectures more relatable. Lots of reading but they're actually interesting and soc-anthro is now my major. Class is out of 100 points (2 ten point papers, 10 three point reading quizzes, midterm and final out of 25 each)

Lecture based class. A lot of reading assigned as homework with a potential mini quiz the next day. Genuinely cares about the betterment of his students. Takes his job, but not himself too seriously. A hilarious individual with so much life experiences and interesting stories. Dreaded this class as my cornerstone but learned a lot and had fun!

Awesome professor. Heavy lecture but the topics are extremely engaging and awesome to learn about. Very humorous and sarcastic guy so dont take him if your feelings get hurt easily. Loved him! Easy/reasonable grader. Easy to go to if you have questions. Made me love my major even more

This is a great class to fulfill a social science requirement; also counts as world diversity; there r 3 papers (+ final paper), and pop quizzes on readings; easy quizzes if u skim the reading; don't have to read in depth b/c he goes over it in class; he drops the lowest 2 quizzes; also 10 news reports from non-Western sources;very easy-going

the absolute best teacher I have ever had. makes everything extremely interesting - all classes were worth going to because of how much i learned and how interesting all the material was! such a smart, personable teacher who really knows his stuff. take this professor!!!!!

great guy, amazing teacher, I still remember most of the stories and info from class because of the way he taught it. there are reading quizzes but the material is so interesting its usually a good read, class flies by, i definitely recommend study groups outside class

He is a great teacher. My anthropology class is so fun, I specifically wanted to take his class after I met him as my advisor. I have two of his classes in one day this semester. He puts excess points in his classes and doesn't care why you weren't in class. He treats you like an adult which is nice. He knows what he's talking about.

Crawford is one of the best professors at Fairfield. He is sarcastic but very fun-loving. If you do the work, you will get an A in his class. He makes class energetic and fun. I loved his class so much, I made him my advisor.

I LOVED this professor he is really nice, keeps the class interesting and you learn a lot. There is a quiz at the beginning of each class but if you write down something you remember from the reading you'll get full credit and he drops your two lowest quiz grades. Best teacher at FU!! Take Him!

Awesome teacher. Really funny. Even though I got a D in the class I really enjoyed this professor. The material is not for incoming freshman. I found it hard but he did help me understand it. He gives a quiz at the beginning of most classes and all you have to do is write anything you remember from the readings. Anything. It was really fun. 5 star

I only took this class because it fulfilled part of the core but he made it so interesting. There's a lot of reading and a two question quiz every day, but as long as you show that you at least attempted to read the article, you always get full credit. He is lenient in grading papers and you make your own midterm and final. Take Crawford.

Honestly the best teacher I've ever had. I loved this class even though it has nothing to do with my major. Crawford made the material really interesting and kept everyone's interest.
