Comment:

Her class wasn't too difficult. The only thing that really bothered me was her grading techniques. If you actually participate in class, she will boost your grade up a little. Honestly, she was just an average professor.

Comment:

Coming straight out of High school, I always had A's and high B's in English. When I took this class I was hoping to further expand my writing skills but was very disappointed. Every day we talked about biased politics and then assigned an essay about nothing we talked about in class. I'm getting A's in English with Girardi rather than D's on essay

Comment:

we write a lot of essays and she grades harshly in my opinion but gives good and constructive feedback. She also allows students to revise their essays and turn in for a better grade, very lenient about extensions. Most class discussions are boring and she talks about her political views very often and openly which was interesting but too much.

Didn't do much in the classes. Most of your grade is based on your essays. Be prepared to write a 8+ page essay during the semester. Very opinionated and liberal. She gives decent feedback on papers and allows you to redo them if youre not happy with your score.

Most of the material we cover in class has to do with one book called generation me as long as you read that book and turn in a good book report the majority of your grade will be a piece of cake considering that most of the class are freshman and sophomore she doesn't grade with an iron pen she gives pretty decent feedback and is easy to score

had her my first semester last year and she's really all about "I never give A's because nothing you could write could ever be as good as something I could" her feedback isn't great and her class was a drag to go to.

Comment:

She's very opinionated, however this part of her was suppressed due to the gender imbalance in my class. 3 girls to 20-some guys. The class was alright due to this, but it was still obvious she disliked most of the students. Even though I got a good grade I would recommend anyone else for any class. You'll be walking on eggshells if you take her.

I was not pleased with her teaching style and felt that it lacked any clear direction. Would not advise anyone to take this class, she is a terribly slow grader and not at all clear on instructions.

If I could put a zero, I would. She is hands down the WORST English teacher I have ever had. I used to like English, but now I REALLY hate it. We had an essay in her class, basically everyone got a D, the highest grade was a C. Just because she's in a mood, doesn't mean she should take it out on the students. Opinionated, and spent a month on mags.

If you're conservative, religious, or have an opinion, DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS. Worst teacher I ever had. All she talked about was the liberal agenda and how great gays are, along with putting down Christianity as much as she could. WE didn't do anything in class except for look at magazine ads and if essays weren't perfect you'd get an F.

Ms. Condon is the worst teacher i have ever had. I took her class semester, and it didn't even feel like an english class, it felt more like a women studies class. I had a friend in her 1C class, and they had the same exec work, if not, less work than my class. DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES

After reading reviews I told my self I would ignore them and try to make the best out of this class. I couldn't. She is not clear with anything, when you ask her a question she says "Check the syllabus, it's all there" we turned in maybe 5-6 assignments all semester. AVOID TAKING THIS INSTRUCTOR! I used to love English, until this class happened.

Hands down the worst teacher I've ever had. I used to get A's and B's in any english class...but don't worry, she'll change that. I consistently handed in spot on essays but she still gave undeserving grades and feedback. Everyone reading this, you have been forewarned. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS.

I ended up dropping her class. She spent 2 months handing out magazine ads having us "discuss" them, but not teaching a single thing. Spent a lot of time on tangents, completely unrelated to subject topic. She voices her republican opinions, and won't allow students to join in discussion. There is no way I'd ever take her class again.

I like her as a teacher. I like he style of teaching. Easy, clear. takes attendance. allows late papers to be turned in and grades fairly. She's nice too. the book generation me was a good and interesting read. i recommend her class! my writing has improved.

Always says "Yes?" after everything she says like she expects us to agree with her and like she's right, and made a rude comment to a student. She handed out some papers to the class and the student didn't know where she was reading from (and this guy has some sort of disability; brings a dog to class, and she said "can't you read? it's on there"

If you know how to write a essay, this class should be easy, but avoid if're looking to learn how to write a essay. Teaches nothing on how to write a essay at all. Attendance is not mandatory despite it being 1/5 of your grade.
