Comment:

Oh Dindy, what a teacher. She definitely knows what shes talking about and wants the best for you but has a lot of work in her classes. She is somewhat nice as long as you are the same. You start the project in class then finish it outside of class while starting a new project. You have a few quizzes on the textbook but she has one you can use.

Comment:

Dindy is a fantastic professor. She is well informed and provides solid feedback and the tools necessary to succeed. Yes, this class has a somewhat heavy workload, but it is well worth it. I have developed so many new skills. Definitely take any class that Dindy teaches!

Comment:

Dindy is very sweet and will help you if you make it a point to talk to her. She can be harsh but it's because she wants you to improve. Materials are expensive and there are lots because you use different ones for every project, but it's better than doing the same thing over and over again so I felt it was worth it.

Professor Reich's class is good, just kind of boring sometimes. Group lectures are extremely helpful, and she herself is kind and respectful so long as you are to her as well. Supplies are pretty expensive, so be aware of that.

Comment:

Take attendance, critiques are boring and harsh, then you draw the rest of the time. Used book for quizzes, EXPENSIVE MATERIALS AND NOT MUCH TIME FOR PROJECTS, you always have homework. Through all of it though, I did really notice an improvement in my drawing.

I really liked Dindy. I think I really improved in Art her Design I class. The projects that she assigned made us use our creativity and even in the last week of class she assigned a new project... she gives a lot of work... but I enjoyed doing the projects even though I had to speed up my creative process. Her critiques were really helpful.

I don't like her at all, you'll spend a fortune on supplies, she's not very understanding, and certain things she says are very off-putting. I'm not sure what other classes she teaches other than Design but I don't recommend her for those at least. Quizzes are easy but she gives no time on huge projects and expects you to have them done and perfect

I think she's a good teacher, she's harsh on critique but it's clearly because she cares about us and wants us to learn. Strict grading but she tells you what she's expecting so... Downside is semi-lots of homework, and projects can be expensive.

She is rude and very unhelpful most of the time. She is very stuck up and when you do need help she treats you like you're stupid! Avoid at all cost if you want to feel respected as a student. The projects are fun but very expensive. When asked whether she could make them cheaper she told us to deal with it because art is expensive.

I had Dindy for Drawing I and Design II. She was my favorite professor I had while attending ECU. I transferred and my teachers now don't compare to her at all. She grades hard, but if you put in the effort you will get good grades. I got a B in Drawing I and an A in Design II. She is super sweet and will help you with anything as long as you ask.

Got a B in design I, and then an A in design II. It is possible, with a lot of work put into projects. Craftsmanship is what kills a lot of people. You have to put the time in to get the higher grades. She was very helpful, and she was always very clear about what she wanted. Great teacher, loved her class, the projects in design II are more fun.

Dindy is the most awesome teacher you will get. Yeah, she grades hard but your wont find many Professors in the Art Dept that don't. Learned so much in her class, took her for Design 1 and Drawing 1, regret not taking her again.

This class is so hard! It really is impossible to get an A. She didn't like me and I always got a C on everything. It was always wrong, even if someone else did it the same way and it was right, she told me it was wrong. Try to get another teacher for this class.

Knows her material. Impossible to get an A. She is SO particular on the projects. The class is too long and you usually walk out with a headache. Shes not a bad teacher its just annoying because you will put a lot of time and energy into your work and get a C.. ALWAYS! You can't win.

A great teacher! She knows the material, and makes Art quite interesting. Tests come straight from the book, and she supplies other study materials like picture guides and test outlines. Easy A or B as long as you put in an honest effort and attend most classes.

The hardest appreciation class I have taken at ECU. She actually makes you do work. Prepare and do the study guides and hw and you'll get an A.

Meh, its a somewhat difficult class, but its not overwhelming as some would make you believe. However, Mrs Reich takes about 20 minutes to get her class started after passing out papers and talking about upcoming events. Then, assuming she gets the projector working, she'll probably go 5 minutes over her time...
