Dr. Dreyfuss is an awesome Professor! She is a very sweet, kind hearted lady & a lawyer, that provides a lot of useful legal information to her students, I would recommend taking her class as it is never boring and she is so nice to be around! I would take her again without a doubt!!!! Her classes are not hard at all & she rocks!!!! Take her asap!

Not a horrible teacher, but not a great one either...she is disorganized for the most part, tends to easily ramble off topic in class so we never get things done on time...easy material, easy grading...if you're a slacker, i am sure her classes will be your haven.

Comment:

She is a bit unorganized, but she cares for her students on a level that most professors will never see. She is witty, fashionable, and personable. Since she is a mother, she treats her students as a mother would lecture her child. She is patient, understanding, and knowledgable..I would recommend Professor Dreyfuss to any of my folks. Just keep a copy of everything that you submit for back-up. Love Professor Dreyfuss..you will not regret.

DO NOT TAKE! This is the worst teacher I have ever had the misfortune to encounter. She shows favoritism -A JS major turned in an essay 2 MONTHS late and she received the same grade as I did.

Love this teacher. She does show favoritism to JS students, but only in the manner of calling on them during discussions. This is fine by me because I hate being called on in class. Her material makes complete sense if your reading the book. And she really enthusiastic when teaching. I would definitely take her again!

She is aweful her tests are not on the book (her definition is different than the book) just on lecture and even then you won't know what the answer is unless you go to the review session. The book andInteresting subjects brought up but her teaching style only fit with Js majors. Many times she did not clarify terms that other majors wouldn't know what she was talking about. She also has certain students who she likes and then favors them.

She clearly shows favoritism and uses terms that she assumes everyone knows and never explains anything really clearly. She's so disorganized. She never post things up when she said she would. By far the worst professor I have ever taken at SJSU. She is disorganized, rude, shows favoritism, doesn't remember what she agreed to (in terms of due dates and amount of points offered), she puts terms on her exams that were never discussed. Please avoid, she is a horrible instructor!

She is the RUDEST professor I have ever taken. She grades unfairly and is disrespectful to her students. She also shows clear favoritism for justice studies major. She is unresponsive, unhelpful, and is unclear with her guidelines. She is unapproachable and often shuns students down from even making comments. AVOID her by all means necessary.

She told our class that she grades essays by comparing them to one another. For instance, if I two people write essays on the same topic, one does an A job and the other goes above and beyond the person who initially wrote an A paper could get a B. She has students grade the exams. She doesnt remember ANYTHING she agreed to.

If you are not a Justice Studies major than AVOID! She has a clear favoritism for those within her department. She snaps at students. Her lectures do not add up to her exams OR the book, in other words she puts things on the study guide that weren't discussed in class, aren't in her power-point, or the book.

One of the nicest teachers around. She will go out of her way to make sure you are doing well. Her lectures are packed full of information, but you can afford to miss a few. HIGHLY recommended!!

I took her for JS 132 and 118, she is a very funny and intelligent professor, but she is waayyyyy to disorganized. Make sure you hand things in hard copy, and e-mail as well. Her class is fun, and missing out on a few lectures won't hurt either.
