I've taken a few professors at DePaul during my first year, but he was hands down the best one! He was super flexible and was always available to help when I was struggling with anything. Participation is key in this class and lots of reading, so if you're not with that, I wouldn't reccommend the class.

Easy class. I barely watched the lectures. Weekly quizzes and discussion posts and paper for midterm and final. Honestly a class you can cruise through. Took during the COVID-19 outbreak and was very chill.

The class material is very interesting, but the lectures can be brutal to sit through for 3 hours. He explains everything really well. The PowerPoint's didn't define the terms on them, so you have to write what he says, or look them up later. He gives study guides for every quiz and exam so you know what you need to study. Overall, an easy A.

This class was the worst. The prof explains things like hes writing an essay, it takes forever for him to get to the point. Doesnt give good feedback on papers and extremely lecture heavy.

The entire class is a lecture, but he will often let you out early. The majority of your grade comes from the daily quizzes, but they're pretty straightforward and he often just gives you the answers because he can't be bothered waiting for people to finish it. Real funny guy. No need to do the assigned homework either as it is not graded.

He is one of the best teachers at DePaul. He makes all of the topics so interesting! His tests are easy memorization and essays on topics he lists on the study guide. He makes history incredibly interesting for any major.

If you don't like lecture heavy classes this isn't the class for you. Overall the class is super easy. 6-8pg paper, midterm, and final. For the midterm and final you have to regurgitate facts about 5 terms and write a short essay. He gives you a study guide before the exams so you know what to expect. I really enjoyed the class and it was so easy.

There's only 2 quizzes (he only takes the highest grade out of the 2 quizzes and btw super easy) one midterm test, which is the same format of the final and a research paper THATS IT! Make sure to take notes during lectures, he does post the powerpoints on d2l. Would reccomend!

Professor Kopp is great! Such a nice guy and really cares about his students. In regards to the class, there is one 6-8 research paper due just before the end of the quarter, one midterm, and two short quizzes. Really easy as long as you show up and take notes in class. His lectures are very easy to understand and he replies back to emails quick!

Pretty easy and interesting class. Don't need the book. Take notes in class and you'll be fine. For midterm and final just memorize all of the terms in detail and regurgitate it on test day. For participation, raise your hand every class and do the extra credit presentation and you'll be fine. He lectures the entire period.

Awesome history class. The class was a great topic and was taught very well. The professor knows the material and can talk about it a lot. The assignments and tests were fair and prepares you to get an A. There are no reasons to not get an A. Enjoyed the class and you should take this professor.

Good professor and funny guy BUT : Midterm and final 100% written, gives you 25 terms that you must know 8-10 things about each, you get to pick 8 out of five on the exam day, plus 1 of 4-5 BROAD ESSAY TOPICS, so you basically have to memorize everything. If you can do that go for it because he's cool but studying for those exams was awful.

The most interesting class I ever had! Professor provides the material in a very engaging way. The grade consists of two exams (study topics are given in advance); two simple quizzes; research paper; and optional extra credit for presentation. The attendance is not mandatory, but participation is graded. Take the class, you will really enjoy it!

Was a pretty good professor. He made history interesting, and he definitely knew his material. He was pretty laid back, attendance was mandatory at first but he never kept track. A Quiz, Midterm, Final, and Final Paper. He gives review sheets and has review days. Hardly read the book after the third week, additional readings are definitely optional

GREAT TEACHER!! Two quizzes. He drops the lower of the two. One research paper. Midterm. Final. Gives two study guides long before the quizzes/midterm/final. He is extremely knowledgeable! He loves his subject and knows it like the back of his hand. I highly recommend him. Would definitely take him again if I could. Definitely participate!

Don't you hate BS reviews? Wanna know if this class is an easy A or not? Here's the review: 1 Midterm + 1 Final (Both exact same format: 5 terms that need 10 facts each, and 1 essay) and a final 6 page paper. Review has 20-25 terms, only 8 will be on test - only need to choose 5. 4 essay ?'s on review, only 2 on test, need to pick only 1. [EASY B]

I think the rating on 4/1/09 is semi-misleading. Participation is a big part of this class because the grade is worth 20% out of whole. I can't say how lenient he is about that, but he did say on day one that just showing up doesn't get you the full points and that you need to raise hand and answer couple or more times. But the class is easy though
