really nice guy, quizzes are easy 100s, final was hard. can be boring and hard to pay attention when he works out problems, derives things unnecessarily alot and gets u confused. but is always willing to help u understand even outside of class, best teacher for physics, drops lowest quiz, test & lab but his C is pretty high

well what can i say...he is a very fair grader i got 100s and 90s doing very minimal work...his quizzes are easy and to the point but his test are fair,you may need to do a few hw problems to do well, on the other hand the final is incredibly difficult...i had an A until i took the final ended up with a B for the class..dull teacher but very helpfu

Dr. Dorata is the best teacher I have had so far at this school. He is such a nice guy and is so considerate. I recommend him. He is always more than willing to go out of his way to help you. You will not regret taking him

This teacher is considered one of the easier physics teachers however may be one of the boringest...he will just do problems all class long...and will derive equations for like 10 mintues when you dont need to know anything about it..Although he may be boring his quizzes are fairly easy and his grading is pretty good...tests are hard..

very helpful person if u need it but confusing as hell in class spends all period proving useless things instead of reviewing test type questions, lots of hard quizzes and tests but is very fair with partial credit grading, i got an 80 on one w/o getting any questions right

Prof. Dorata is a genuinely good person. He has assisted me numerous times and even asked me to stop by his office just to ask how the course was coming along. One of the more articulate professors. Very knowledgeful. Rumored to be a geophysicist. I truely wish he weren't so nice sometimes.

can we say mr. bean!!!! he gives quizzes every week and his quizzes are nothign like his noted because he focuses too much on solving formulas and using logic. dont bother studying defintions becuse it wont work. u either get it or u dont. i can feel bad for him sometimes.

Dr. Dorata often spends too much time deriving formulas instead of solving problems.When he does go over problems he clear defines steps on how to solve them.He is always available for help and teaches better when you do go to him.Your better off taking him for physics 1 than any other teacher.
