Absolutely horrible. He is an embarrassment to UNR. Worst teacher I have had in my life. I cannot believe I had to pay money to listen to him ramble. One of the tests there were 44 F-'s... Less than 20 people passed. Teaching problem? I think so.

Im graduating this year, Amato was the worst teacher I have had in my life.Do not be fooled by his friendly demeanor.His grading system is atrocious.He has been teaching too long.His rediculous website never works.Answer keys are wrong all the time, no apologies from him.Gives reverse partial credit (ex. 8/10=2/10) Do not take this class.

3 midterms. Final is chance to retake/improve upon midterms. Very limited content - about a dozen techniques/formulas and variations on them. No need to attend class. Grading system is ridiculous - gives letter grades, and you can earn negative points for scores below 50%. Not a hard class though. No textbook required.

OMG, I couldn't HATE this guy more. He is a major jerk. You can't ask a question in class w/o him accusing you of not studying. NO partial credit. Incredibly rude person. NOT a good teacher. I would AVOID him. If I could do it over I would take Spraggins.

This class is terrible. Class is broken up and you attend 1 day a week. Records his lectures and posts them online so you don't have to go. Grade is based off 3 exams only. Don't bother with group assignments they aren't graded. No partial credit on tests. 20 point math questions and no partial credit. Gives F minuses. Who does that? Avoid!

The format of the class is very different. You usually go one day a week and its hard to understand everything he teaches in that one day. If you don't like coming to class then this is the class for you. All his lectures are online but your grade depends on 3 tests. At times he is very confusing.

Really nice guy. The "hybrid" format of the class is very odd. Lectures are online with once per week meetings. I think Dr. Amato is great, and the class isn't too had. But I don't think I learned as much as I would have in a "traditional" course. If you're just trying to bang out a requirement, go for it. If you're an SCM major, think carefully.
