Dr Deitz is by far my favorite professor at WIU. She is so nice and funny while also actually teaching you information. If you participate in class, she will love you but if you don't, you still learn a ton. She really cares about her students and always helped me plan for my goals, even when she wasn't my professor.

Comment:

Probably my favorite professor in the department. She is kind and funny while also being a great teacher. It is clear that she cares about the topics she teaches and tries to get her students to do the same. She is extremely helpful with any confusion that may arise and is available to talk. Only downside is that she is disorganized when grading

Comment:

Hands down one of the best professors that I have taken. She is incredibly experienced and knowledgeable, and she genuinely wants her students to succeed in the class. Her lectures are very informative and interesting, and she sprinkles in lots of humor. Current events are huge in the class, and they really help with grasping the material.

Very nice lady and very knowledgeable about her subject. She does talk fast but is very willing to repeat anything. You need to go to class and take very good notes. Tests are VERY hard but if you do good on the papers you won't have a problem.

No matter what class you take, there is one thing you have to remember with Deitz. You MUST show up to class, you MUST take notes, and you MUST pay attention. She's a difficult teacher, but only because she wants you to really learn. She's the most inciteful, and awesome teacher in the POLS department..hands down.

Great professor! Knows her stuff. She can go a bit fast through the lectures, but if you miss anything, she'll repeat it if you ask or tell you what you missed. Some people call her a b*tch, but she's really just straightforward and doesn't put up with any bull. Her classes are definitely worth taking, even if they aren't easy. You'll learn a lot.

Loved this class. Lectures were informative, but not boring. It was a writing emphasis class but I think we only did 2 writing assignments. When our average test scores were low, she offered easy extra credit. I never even opened my book and I got a B. An easy A is totally possible. I am going to try to take more classes with her next semester.

She sucks, She is the worst teacher I have had a WIU so far. She gives****ty outlines, and talks so fast. Her tests are so hard even if you study a ton. She says we will review before a test and never do, we just get more notes. I wouldn't take this class ever! I hate her and this class!

Deitz is one of my favs in the Political Science Dept. She does speak VERY fast but the notes you take should be clear enough. Test go over the stuff she actually talks about and I never read the book and got a B in the course!!! Just take good notes and you should be fine.

She sucks. She uses vague outlines, talks to fast, and it hard to take accurate notes in her class. Her test are way to difficult due to her intense multiple choice questions and she can make class just horribly boring.

My only beef about her is that she speaks VERY fast and it is hard to get the notes down if you are like me and take notes. She puts up an outline on the projector before every class and you basically have to fill in the blanks because the outline is too basic to make any sense unless you listen during the lecture and take notes.

Comment:

Nice lady if you are respectful. Tests and quizes are kinda hard and you have to go to class every time. Class can get long at times. For the most part and easy class where you talk about interesting material.
