Comment:

Such an amazing professor. Tests are from both his lectures and the textbook. You really need to go to lecture and read the textbook. He gives a detailed study guide before each exam (helpful to know what you need to focus on from textbook). Very knowledgeable and passionate about the subject. Definitely take this professor!

Comment:

I took Professor Young's Social Psych class at Pace University in my sophomore year of college and even though I was already a psych major, he was the one who made me LOVE psych. His lectures are enjoyable, his tests are fair and paired with study guides and his homework is few and far between. He's a professor that cares.

Comment:

The subject is easy however the exams are super hard, short response are hard, out of the 4 multiple choice options two are wrong and two are right and very similar. However he will want you to choose the best option out of the two. I got As in all my other classes, study for this exams. I went to office hours and all he said is to study harder.

I seriously don't understand how people think he's a tough grader. His review guide for each exam literally tells what each topic is going to show up on the test. If you don't bother to study or understand the concept, then I don't know why you're taking psych. He gave amazing lectures that were very detailed and at times funny. Great class.

Prof. Young is a remarkable person. He is very intelligent and is extremely passionate about what he teaches. I have to say that his texts were kinda tough but you do learn a lot from his lectures and the way he presents the class. There are 4 exams, but he drops the lowest grade. Would I take him again? Yes! If you want an easy A, DO NOT take him

Comment:

Very intelligent professor. Gives 4 exams, drops the lowest. His exams are based on lectures and the textbook but his review sheets are really helpful. Available outside of class for help and always answers questions as informatively as possible. As long as you pay attention in class and follow the study sheets, you will pass. Really great prof!

Probably one of the most informative professors I have ever had. His class is mainly based off of him lecturing, although is open to discussion from students. He gives you 4 exams, but drops the lowest grade. I will admit that his class is not an easy A, but you should do fine if you read the textbook and take good notes. Still a great professor.

Amazing lectures! Your grade is only tests, you take 4 and he only counts the highest 3. This class is not an easy A. Read the textbook, make chapter outlines, go to every lecture, and do the study guides! I would definitely take Professor Young again and recommend his class to anyone who is willing to put in the work.

If your a bad M.C test taker, GOODBYE. You have 4 exams ,3 that counts and that's your grade. No attendance & no other assignments. Textbook readings and lectures. I do not recommend this class. His lectures were some-what interesting. He should change the gradings. Class avg. on the test were not good.

Okay so the Thomas Hunter Honors program classes are generally speaking much harder and only offered once in a blue moon. But as nice as he is (brought cookies all the times!), his grading is super tough in that class. So if you're thinking HONS class, find another if you don't want your heart broken or your GPA dropped.

Dr. Young is a good professor. His lectures were straightforward, and not entirely boring. He offered helpful review sheets before exams, and encouraged and answered any questions you may have had. IF you put in the effort, there is no reason why you shouldn't get an A.

If only there were other professors like Young who were so passionate about their course material. Def in the top 3 professors I've had in my life. Anyone who leaves neg feedback here I can guarantee you did poorly because they expected an easy A like every other psych class. Read the textbook in full and come to class and it's not that hard.

Prof Young is probably one of the better lecturers I've had. He's really knowledgeable and his lectures are very interesting. Prior to his class, i had absolutely no interest in the subject, but he changed that. It's not an easy A type of class, but its not difficult either. Just put in the effort and you will do well.

The best professor, if you're willing to learn than you are guaranteed to do well. He is genuinely passionate about subject and will make everything thats redundant into just very interesting subjects. Take this class

There is A LOT of note taking for this class and you MUST read the book. The class is interesting I'm not going to lie and he really knows his stuff. Very helpful! Although his exams are not the easiest they are do-able. Would def. recommend this professor and class!

I am not having the easiest time in the course. That is because his test are extremely difficult. Though if you study and READ you will have the ability to get an A. This is not a fly by class... There are a lot of terminology you must memorize in order to pass. If you are in to social psych and this is you major, you should take it...

Great professor. Knows his stuff and I agree with some posters that he can be inspiring. If you do not get an A in this class it is because you did not put in the effort. Gives option for extra credit for all his exams which let you bring up your grade by one full level ie B to A. Again, put in the work and you will do well.
