Keithley is an okay professor. He explains the material in depth and uses examples in class. There are handout assignments which are fairly hard. Exams are long and difficult as well.

He expects his class to work hard and there is a lot of homework, papers, and a group presentation. The tests are hard but he tells you what to focus on before the test. Use his office hours for questions. He is very nice and the best accounting teacher I have had by far!

Keithley is an amazing teacher! I had him for reporting 1 and rep. 3. His class is tough but he knows what he is talking about and is always willing to help. His office hours are very useful. Definitely one of the best professors I have had at SLU!

Awesome professor, but requires a lot of work. I would recommend taking him if you are an Accounting major, he will teach you everything you need to know. Tests are straight forward, study what he tells you in review.

Keithley is an awesome teacher. He knows his stuff and has a real passion for what he is doing. The class is pretty hard but if you put in some time, do the required homework and read the textbook, you will do fine. If you have trouble talk to him, he will help you.

Keithley's intro to accounting class is tough. It takes a lot of work to get an A more work to maintain the grade. He does give participation grades at the end. He has worked in the accounting field, has plenty of experience, and knows his stuff but demands a lot. I probably wouldnt take him again but I dont regret it. Very helpful in office hours.

He is a great teacher, extremely knowledgeable and very willing to help. He really wants students to learn. There are 3 tests, 1 final, 2 short and 1 long papers, 2 group presentations, and regular homework. The class isn't so much hard as a lot of work.

As everyone's said, this class is rough and there's lots of outside work involved, but it's possible to pull off a good great. Large paper, 4 tests (find some past tests! they help so much), group presentations, graded hw, article reviews. He's very articulate, obviously loves his job (allows you to call his home! & many people take adv. of this)

Tough class, but Keithley was willing to help at ANY time during the day. Always answered questions if you had them in class and was very organized. I recommend him if you are looking for a challenge.

Talks a lot in class and gives good info. However, tests are a different story. On the tests he will focus on one particular topic and if you do not know that topic too well, you are screwed! My favorite word he says is "cumbersome". I.E. He will say "This problem is quite cumbersome". haha

This was probably the best class I have ever taken at SLU. The class isn't so much hard as it is a lot of work. You need to put effort into everything, but if you do you will be fine. Even if you bomb something, especially homework, you can recover easily because everything is such a small % of the grade. Always available at home by phone too.

Outstanding- he really does exemplify how good a teacher can be. His class is hard and does have plenty of homework, but you will learn a lot. I found him to be available nearly all the time for questions, even at home. Definitely recommended, most of you won't have a choice anyway, which is a good thing.

I don't know who said he was hot, but this was actually the best class I've had at SLU to date. It was very difficult, even for someone interested in the subject matter, and involved a lot of extra work (grp. projects, homework, and article reviews). Be ready to try hard and learn, and don't expect to get an A unless you're ready to bust your tail.

Amazing individual. Best teacher I've had at SLU yet. Class is difficult, a good amount of homework. Two in class projects, but it is a mandatory class for accounting majors. You will learn a lot from this man, he has been at SLU for 35 years.

One of the best teachers at SLU! Not an easy class but learned a lot. A lot of work to do but he's willing to help. Don't put off studying or writing papers until the last minute because you won't do well. Keep on top of everything or you'll easily fall behind.
