I enjoyed this class. Unless you totally hate math, the class is fairly easy. Ezell's lectures can be hard to follow, but he is very helpful during office hours and will explain things until you understand it.

I LOVE EZELL! he cares about you more than you could ever comprehend, tries his best to teach a difficult subject, and does all he can to ensure that even the worst students end up with a decent grade. LOVE HIM

Not too bad, if you understand statistics. The tests are hard but he curves them VERY generously. Problem sets arent bad either, I would definitely take this class

Ezell is goofy, fun, and really intelligent. BUT, this stat class was not easy. Problem sets suck, tests pretty challenging, but he is AWESOME about curving grades. Very generous grader. Helpful in office hours. OK for AXLE math req. If you study and go to class you can probably get an A. Works on prob sets with a partner.

Basically had to teach myself everything in this class. He is not very good at explaining things. In class its as if he is speaking another language and then if you ask a question he makes you feel like an idiot. Don't take this class if you are trying to fulfill a math requirement, its not worth the extra work you have to put in.

Professor Ezell is a really nice guy and extremely funny. He is a good grader and generous with points. More importantly he is always available to help. I think he is a great teacher.

Horrible. He doesn't use examples, which makes learning impossible unless you're already good at math. Makes you feel like you're an idiot and seems to get angry when you ask questions. NO-GO.

HE IS AWESOME! I am not kidding, nobody in the world is less interested in math/stats than I am, but I loved this class. He is one of the most helpful professors I have EVER met, and is so accommodating. I would take stats again just to have another class with him.

He wants you to do well, and is always available--like he's in his office at like 6:30pm. He makes stats fun, even at 9am--which can't be said for most professors. Highly recommended. Awesome. Go to his office hours--that's the difference maker, and will set you apart from someone just passing and someone who gets an A.

Ezell was a great teacher. He is such a nice guy and he was so lenient when it came to grading papers. He really taught me how to become a better writer and was really interested in how his students were doing during their first year in college. I would def. advise that freshman take this class for their writing seminar. No quizzes or tests.

Incredibly nice guy. We watched some videos, and he was always very helpful. He is pretty lenient on grading papers, and even lets you rewrite a few. If I would have tried harder, I could have got an A. You don't have quizzes, but he will see if you are reading every once in a while with worksheets.

I don't know why everyone seems to have such a problem with him, either. I took Juv Del with him, so maybe he's a lot different in the stats classes but as long as you do the work and go to class you'll do fine!

Ezell is great! His class is interesting, but also challenging. If you put in the work, you will be rewarded with a fair grade. I would definitely take a class with him again. For those who had a problem with him, it must be because they did not do all the work, which he cannot be blamed for.

I've taken Ezell for Soc127 (statistics), Soc232 (juvenile delinquency), and Soc212 (social research). The subject matter of the courses he teaches is very technical and difficult. But, Ezell is a very nice guy and is always available for extra help.
