This guy is the GOAT. He's funny and chill but also doesn't play games. He covers a lot of material quickly but he's very organized and explains the material in the most logical order. He definitely gets you very prepared for the exams. Definitely recommend.

Dr. Wolfe was the best professor I had at the University of Michigan. Only complaint is his handwriting is hard to read at times. Hiss lectures are very helpful for understanding the concepts. He is very knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor. Stay on top of the course pack and take practice exams and you'll do incredible in the course.

Wolfe is a solid orgo professor. He's not the best teacher in the world, but he will definitely give you all the information you need before exams. This class requires lots of time outside class with any professor, so put time into coursepack problems and practice exams.

Dr. Wolfe is great. He has a dry sense of humor that keeps lectures from being too boring. Tough class but if you put in work (coursepack, practice exams, textbook problems) you will be fine! I really liked him but he goes fast so pay attention

If you have the opportunity to take Chemistry 210 from Dr. Wolfe, do it. He lectures at a faster pace than the other professors, which means he covers more material and shows more examples of exam-type questions. He is truly an expert in the field and communicates his knowledge clearly.

Dr. Wolfe's an amazing lecturer who presents difficult concepts in an extremely tangible manner. Exams aren't easy, but completely fair. Do all the coursepack before each exam and go to Wolfe's office hours and an A is completely obtainable. Go to GSI office hours too, Ashlee was absolutely incredible. Definitely found orgo 2 easier than orgo 1.

I attribute all of my success in this class to Professor Wolfe. His lectures were very organized and he explained concepts in a way that was easier to understand. The course material is very challenging but he offers open discussions where he goes over concepts/coursepack questions further. I would definitely recommend taking this class with him.

He's an amazing lecturer and makes material so tangible despite it being pretty difficult. Does an exceptional job structuring notes with bullet points, notes, examples etc. Is kind enough to give exam review during lectures leading up to exams.

Professor Wolfe was awesome! His lectures were fun to attend. I really enjoyed the HTML project because it was such a creative project but still focused on the chemistry. After taking double honors with Wolfe, I love organic chemistry so much that I joined his lab.

One of the best professors at this University. Genuinely cares about each student. Do the coursepack and be able to adjust to new situations on exams. Pay attention during lectures because he gives all the concepts needed to be successful on exams.

Great teacher with a dry sense of humor. Taught you most everything you need to know, but be able to apply concepts to new types of problems on exams. Only truly difficult exam was 2, but very high averages on the other 3 exams. Do lots of practice problems. Sometimes skimmed over stuff he tested on but overall a great professor and would recommend

The material is in no way easy, but Wolfe does a pretty good job of explaining difficult concepts. He is willing to answer any questions you have, even a couple hours before the exam. The exams were fair, and with the coursepack and practice tests, its definitely not impossible to do well.

After 210 with Nolta I was concerned whether any of the 215 professors could meet her caliber. However Dr. Wolfe is awesome and has so much knowledge about organic chemistry! He is a really nice, funny, and down to earth guy and really wants all of his students to succeed. He explains concepts well and is more than willing to answer any questions.

John Wolfe is as one commentator said "amazing". By far one of the best teachers I have had. Really knows his chemistry and is happy to help explain topics. Great Lecturer and one of the main reasons I am going into chemistry. If you ever have the chance to take a class with him do it! Specifically do CHEM 215HH. Again you wont regret it.

Had Wolfe for 215HH and don't regret it. 215HH is a good intro to scientific research, and he's brilliant, inoffensively honest, and if he were king, he'd do away with gradesalmost 70% of the students this term aced the class. The Honors Cup competition, HTML project, and studying for the exams all required hard work; he graded us to reflect that.

Knows a ton about his field and loves talking about it. Even though the lectures are online, I advise going to class because he is usually good about answering questions. Overall a good teacher, tests were reasonable.
