Comment:
Professor Tabor makes intro level philosophy way harder than it should be. Not only is she relentless when grading papers, but participation is a must. If you don't participate on a daily basis you'll lose a lot of points off of your final grade. She's also very liberal and isn't afraid to show it. We also played an ancient Greek game in class

Tabor grades intro to philosophy papers like she is grading philosophy papers for a graduate-level course. Everyone does badly on the papers no matter how long or hard you work on them. I really did not learn much philosophy at all.

Fisher grades way too hard, she failed more than half the class for the first paper. It was a philosophy class and for some reason she made us play a role-playing game where we lived in ancient Athens. We had to make speeches and present them almost every other class and the final essay was on immigration. I learned absolutely no philosophy.

The most condescending professor I've ever had at Le Moyne. A hardcore liberal, only preaching what ever comes to her firm beliefs (e.g Feminism, Women's Rights, and more deluded liberal inclinations). Also, if your a man in class or a Conservative (I am both), she will ruthlessly roast you. She does not get her points cross by facts, but feelings!

I loved Professor Tabor. If you just show up and participate you will pass the class. She is a tough grader with essays, but as long as you do it the way she wants you will do well. Easy A.

Dr. Tabor is a great professor, but you really have to work for it. In this class she basically gave a reading then a writing assignment, so there was a lot of work. She takes participation seriously, you have to at least talk once each class and she marks you down and you will get a 100 for participation. If you don't do anything you wont pass.

Tabor Fisher is a harsh grader but amazing professor. Her one downside is her extremely liberal views which are normally present on her quizzes and in her lectures. Otherwise, if you don't have an issue with that she is a solid choice.

Participation in class is a must, so get ready to speak up. She does grade a bit harshly, but she's fair and gives you enough feedback that you can work to improve. There were a few papers and writing assignments due for the class, but it never felt like "too much". She's approachable and seems genuinely interested in what she teaches.

Dr. Tabor is a very harsh grader, and does not give feedback very quickly. Not an easy A like an intro philosophy class should be. We were graded more harshly on writing techniques, although not an english course.

I started off the semester hating her, but half way through, I discovered office hours. If you take advantage of these, you will do great! Not only did she give me good advice, but also provided sources for my papers, in addition to the wonderful discussions we had. Also, participation is huuuuuge!! Don't expect to just show up and get full credit!

Professor Tabor is a great teacher but she is a very tough grader. I would not take this class again only because I felt like there was no way for me to get an A. She is an awesome women and explains things great but it was not for my major and needed my full effort.

Lots of essays. Got C's on every paper needless to say very tough grader. Hates men. Talks about sensitive topics and uses them as examples in class. Talks about philosophy through controversial topics like race gender and sex. Makes students uncomfortable. Would not recommend. I dreaded every class. She means well but is far too opinionated.

Dr Fishe is a great professor - I highly recommend her as long as you are willing to put in effort and work. There's an assignment ranging from readings, to writing a paragraph, to writing a paper each week. If you do it and put in time and effort, you'll get a good grade. She takes attendance and participation really matters. I 100% respected her.

Dr. Tabor is absolutely amazing! She is a very engaging professor that makes philosophy a very fun subject to learn. She shapes the class to reflect the interests of the students and assigns readings of interest to the students. She does give out a lot of work and is a tough grader, but you will appreciate taking a class with this professor!
