Dr. Joe is easily the best teacher in the IE department. Always very nice and willing to help. He is more interested in trying to get you to learn the material than necessarily what grade your tests say should be getting. Long as you show willingness he will do his best to give you a good grade. Go in and talk to him!

I first took a Dr. Joe class almost 30 years ago. Wonderful, teacher, mentor and pal. He gave me the best career advice ever. (Wish I'd paid attention more, cause he was right about everything.)

Tough class, much harder than 311. He really wants you to learn and will help all he can. Tests are challenging! but fair. Pay attention, DO THE HOMEWORK and do it well. GO IN FOR HELP if you don't understand something.

Great Teacher. We learn how to solve real world problems. Dr. Emanuel is very down to earth and explains everything clearly and asks questions that really make you want to think. I look forward to going to his class every week.
