if you're sharp, organized, and are actually interested in the subject, you will do well. Poor students typically do poorly in this class and the class drop rate shows this.

Dr. V is pretty cool. I had him for both OB MGT and HR MGT in the same semester, so I got a good sense of him. He is truly and expert when it comes to subject matter, and both classes are lecture heavy, but it's pretty interesting stuff. He gives lots of extra credit, but he's a hard professor so it isn't easy. I'd definitely recommend, though!

Villanova is a boring lecturer. His tests are fairly difficult with most student's making C's on the tests. He does offer crazy extra credit where you could potentially earn up to 12 points on your final grade if you get full credit on each extra credit assignment he has.

Dr. V is a really smart guy, but is absolutely terrible to listen to. He can't teach to make class interesting, and the only way to do well is to study his power points. He is the most boring person in class, to the point where I'm only going on test days, and I'm still making A's because of power point. Avoid him at all costs.

Uses Classdat, a website that was used in the 90s. Makes it very difficult to find assignments and finish work. Blabbers on through class about pointless things about Italy. Avoid this professor like the plague.

I've had him for 2 classes, HR & OB and he gives the best lectures on sometimes controversial subjects and he makes even dry subjects interesting. His exams in both classes are hard and require study. His home assignments tie in with the courses and are not busy work like so many classes. Attendance is important to do well. Go to class.

If you pay attention he's interesting. If you go to class, you'll be fine on the exams. Not that hard, but the grade avg sucks bc I'm in class rn and half of it is absent.

Grade consists of 4 tests and 3 optional papers adding 0-4 points each to your FINAL grade (very good). Don't let people scare you, he's just blunt. Dr V teaches well, cares about students (contacts if you're not doing well) and has interesting lectures. Attend class, take good notes, read a little, and you can get an A. Stop being so sensitive.

Dr. V has amazing lectures and if you take the time to absorb the material, then you should be fine. His class is interesting and engaging and you are doing yourself a disservice by not taking him. If you are a good student, do yourself a favor, and learn from Dr. V. He will teach you well.

I learned a lot about HRM and about working in a team. We did peer evals and if you are a slacker, you wont like being accountable to your team and this wont work for you. Your grade is 30% from team work with 5 projects. The 3 exams are hard but he has a study guide. My team experience was very positive and we all pulled together. Best team ever!

He is not a teacher nor a human resource professional the reason I state that is because he has all semester incentivize students to throw each other under the bus repeatedly anyone that uses a forced ranking system for groups and then punished students that gives others good reviews isnt really a teacher in any way also there is 7 group projects

You will work for your grade. His exams are 1page & tough. On paper and in class he uses overly complicated language (not always correctly) to hear himself talk, uses examples that boarder on offensive, & is not particularly kind. Hes inconsistent when teaching classes. He has a lot of knowledge and experience in HRMGT which I respect but thats it.

This man will tear you apart if you are not prepared! The worst part about it is, I was prepared. I am a senior that has never made a single B. Then came Dr. V, I would not recommend this professor to any degree. If you cannot understand the wording in his exams, IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW MUCH YOU STUDY, an A inst an option...

He is a very tough grader. When he says use a certain format, follow it to the T. Try to make it perfect or you will lose points. Also, when it comes to assignments and exams, make sure you ask tons of questions so you can be prepared and he will be impressed. If you ask questions that he thinks are dumb, be warned, he will laugh at you.

Worth attending for the lectures. Class was a realistic intro to management. 4 pretty difficult tests that require study. Written papers were optional and used as extra credit. DrV seems kind of intimidating bc of his knowledge but is pretty warm and friendly one-on-one. I was not bored and it was one of my best business classes.

Dr. V has been one of my favorite professors I've had so far in college. If you're into psychology/sociology and learning to be a successful leader, this class is for you. It was very refreshing to learn from a professor that is so passionate about what he teaches. Look over mock quizzes, pay attention in class, read, and you will be set!

Dr. Villanova is incessantly inflexible when working with students. He is lazy with grading and his overall lack of care for his students is contradictory to his very area of expertise. Do yourself a favor and avoid this professor unless you like to keep the company of arrogant obstinance.

Dr. V is easily one of the most impactful professors I have had during my 3 years here. Beware though this class is not easy and he will make you work for your grade. We were given 3 exams and two short papers that were tough, but fair if you keep up with the material and attend lectures. He is a great professor! Take him if you get the chance.

Let me be clear, I never write reviews. My experience with Dr. V forced me to write this one. In short, you are doing yourself a disservice if you do not take this class. It is challenging, thought provoking, and ultimately enthralling. It is NOT easy. If all you want is to check off a requirement, look elsewhere. Dr.V takes no prisoners.

Only after DrV called my name out in class and met with me to discuss my progress in his class did I start to care about how I was doing. Not just bc I wanted a good grade, but to show him I was learning. I didnt feel that way with any other professor before. So yeah, that was a real eye-opener for me. Thanks for caring.
