Dr. Telford is the sweetest. Learned a LOT from him in my french classes. Very understanding and kind. Had high standards, but was helpful. However, when taking a LIT class with him, he was extremely dry and the selected texts were boring. I was the only one who participated in (French) class and I did not get a full-credit participation grade.

I took French lit, it was very challenging but he was always willing to help during office hours. The papers weren't too hard and you could meet with him to look over it before you turned it in for a grade. Absolutely recommend!

Prof Telford is very difficult. The online listening assignments are extremely unclear. We are not all French majors in his class but treats us as such when grading. Very very picky. A French native would have difficulty in his class.
