Professor Doane is amazing! You can tell she loves what she does & is a great professor. I had her online COMG153 class & it was truly easy, just VERY tedious & time consuming- so dont start an assignment an hour before its due! She is a TOUGH grader, so triple check your work, read the steps in the book & in her instructions & youre good to go.

She is an awesome instructor! Yeah she's a little intimidating at first but just give her some chocolate and she'll brighten right up! All in all, she knows what she's talking about and will help you understand it just as much as she does.

She can be intimidating at first but once the class goes on that intimidation turns into respect. She does make sure you understand what she is teaching and she knows her stuff. I would definitely take her again.

I don't understand how some people don't like her, she is an amazing professor. She's not a morning person so if you can't take a joke or handle semi-grumpy people, grow up sunshine, this is how the world works; it's not all rainbows and butterflies...

This is the best teacher you could ever have! She is nice and caring and will help you with anything you need. She makes everything in the technology department easy to understand. She is organized and full of life. One of the best professors at Mott period.

Great teacher! She is a very smart professor who knows her stuff. She can be strict, but usually because someone wasn't listening in class or was causing problems. She is there to help if you don't understand an assignment. Great teacher, would take one of her classes again!

Comment:

Doane is a phenomenal professor. Her persona can be interesting & irritating. Homework can be frustrating due to her sometimes clustered directions. Lectures are read from PowerPoints given via BB. All homework/exams are open book (on BB). Never buy/rent the books, always get the eBook (CTRL+F to win!) for all computer courses. Save your money.

Best professor I took. If you're truly interested in computers, I whole-heartedly recommend her. She will answer questions if you know what to ask. She just expects you to read and seems to be one of the most knowledgeable there. Too bad, I only had her for one online class.

Mrs. Doane was descriptive, patient, and fun all together. She was very helpful and has real world experiences to help guide you in the right direction. Oh and she is Sharp too! If you want a monotone, boring teacher- she is not for you! I've learned so much from her.

BEST PROFESSOR I HAVE EVER HAD! she makes class great every day and I look forward to seeing her and hearing her sarcasm every day. she is so blunt and straight forward and I love it. her plethora of sarcasm is magnamously adored. if it weren't for her I don't think I would've continued going to college. she totally changed my life.

Her use of tangible aids alone merits a pay raise(this is known as going above and beyond). I only wish I had a spot for "rate my lab partner" (we set a record and will be looking for him should I encounter any need for man power) I only regret not being able to declare her "THE MAN" like another instructor. The class will be practical in life.
