Best teacher I've ever had at La Salle. She can be a little tough, but she is very helpful and she will work with you to help you understand the subject and assignment. Usually she lets you do a rewrite of your assignments, but I don't know if she still does today. Great teacher and she is very understanding of all students' well being.

Very good teacher, helps you learn important things. By the end of this semester my writing improved alot. Not easy if you do not attend class, has favorites, and if you dont put an effort she will fail you.

Take her only if you want to improve your writing skills. She's tough grader, but she has a lot of patience to work with students. You get to learn current events as well as learn to communicate your thoughts on them through writing. She can be intimidating sometimes but she means well.

The people who wrote that she's a bad teacher are probably the ones who never EVER showed up for class, or never took her writing advice. Great prof, extremely sweet! Whoever said she treats her students like babies must be talking about a different Dean. Take her! If for nothing else, at least you'll get a great resume out of it.

Take her! she help's ur writing skills improve. If u go to for help she will proof read ur papers. I got a B+ in advanced comp, an A- in bus/tech writing class, and im taking her again for legal writing. Assigns texts to help improve writing on relevant things like business letters, resumes, etc. Tough grader on papers, so go to her before.

If you don't like eng. dont take Dean. She was a really tough grader. She was very detailed on what cliches she did not want to see in your papers. Too much work- current events, journals to write in, papers,tests/quizzes. I never got anything higher than a C in her class so I withdrew from it.
