Her class is very easy. probably the only hard thing is the radio show project but its a lot of fun. her exams are pretty straight forward.

She is extremely cocky. She refuses to help with the online homework, even if it marks the right answer wrong. She never fully goes over anything and refuses to speak in english. When you ask her to repeat herself she gets extremely annoyed. Thank god I took 3 years of spanish in highschool.

I took De Gordon for 2 classes. Shes a great teacher! Shes always available to help. She really cares for her students to succeed. She explains all of the material well. I highly recommend taking her class.

She doesnt even really teach. She throws the information at you and will get a tutor if you need help instead of saying, get a tutor if you need EXTRA help. Shes obnoxious and talks really loud about her personal life most of the time and we would just give her a blank stare. I passed it by the skin of my teeth.

If you are taking her for 101, you will be okay. Otherwise, do not take this professor. Spanish 102 is hard itself and she speeds through everything and assumes you know fluent spanish. She constantly brings up that you learned things in 101 that didnt happen. The test are impossible and require so much studying. Do not recommend.

She teaches so fast (does a whole grammar section in 10-15 minutes) and does not put notes online, so the whole time your hand will be aching from trying to speedily write down everything that is going on. I had to teach myself basically everything, which is hard to do. Wouldn't recommend.

Dr. DeGordon is a nice lady, very energetic & can be pretty funny sometimes. However, Spanish 102 is much more difficult than 101 & you do have to do a fair amount of studying to keep up unless you're adept at Spanish already. Lots of tests & quizzes, so there are a lot of grade opportunities.

Dr. De Gordon is a great professor! She was always in a great mood and very eager to teach her students. She truly cares about her students' success and goes out of her way to make sure everyone understands. There were multiple quiz and tests throughout the course, however it gives many opportunities to do well.

Comment:

Maite is a kooky and very animated instructor. She conveys the information very well. The instruction and assignments are well within the capabilities of the students. She is very personable. I would take her again in a heartbeat.
