Comment:
My least favorite professor. I had him for two classes at the same time and had to drop one because he would just babble about the same poor investment strategy. He may be smart but I feel like he turned to academia just to hear himself talk.

My least favorite professor ever, and I was really looking forward to the class. Advised students to "back up the truck" to buy a stock that lost 65% of value over the course of the class (and has not regained it in the intervening years). Hugely arrogant, and didn't really educate about his topic. Blowhard.

Very egotistical prof. who tests over unimportant minutia in his poorly written test. Do not recommend for any students. only positive thing about his class was meeting Warren Buffett. Gives grade highly based on how good an actor you are for skit for Warren Buffett. No real world experience to speak of, other than horrible investment track record.

Comment:
Grade in investment class based on how pretty brochure is as much as the brochure content. Too much art, too little finance emphasis for a business course. He is very egotistical but interesting enough to listen to. Tune out when he discusses stock tips, his record is horrible.

AWFUL! Spent class talking about how much money he's made in the market, but little about what the tests were over. Could have missed class read his overpriced text and gotten the same grade.

May be very knowledgable in his area, but useless as a teacher. Provides very hard submission deadlines with no scope of delay by even 1 minute! Has a lot to cover in a hard course that has a prescribed text written by him, however he is most of time talking about useless things and making jokes. In 1st class spent most time in getting to know name

I thought that Prof. Hirschey was not only incredibly intelligent about the subjects that were discussed, but he was also very aware of his students interests, focusing in on those. I had a great experience, and it's the perfect professor for someone who REALLLY wants to learn.

Egotistical. Makes you purchase his overpriced, poorly written text and tests on the minutia of the information contained therein. Definitely a professor that demands strict adherence to his investment philosophy. Getting a 4.0 (which I did) is very easy if you turn your brain off and regurgitate
