He was by far my favorite professor this semester. He is easy to get along with, hilarious, and great at teaching. He really goes out of his way to make sure you get it. However, you also have to make an effort. Go to his office hours and ask questions! I cannot stress that enough. I would 100% take his class again.

Really nice professor. His lectures can be difficult to follow, so youtube videos are very helpful for this course. He doesn't just give you the answer and really wants you to learn the material for yourself, which can be good and bad. Quizzes and tests are EXTREMELY reflective of homework, and he puts grades in in a timely manner.

He is an awesome professor. At the start i nearly failed out of the class but then i started going to his office hours regularly. Once I started meeting with him 2-3 times a week and doing all the hw I did MUCH better. i went from a solid F to a B. From failing each quiz to getting a B on the final and passing the course. GO TO OFFICE HOURS & DO HW

Dr. Vazzana is a goofy person and really fun to have in class. He may annoy some people, but I thought it was a good way to make the class more interesting. His lectures are standard fare, not amazing but covers the material well. He assigns homework frequently and going over it in class is helpful. His tests and quizzes aren't too hideous.

Prof. Vazzana was awesome. I learned so much in his class. He makes every lecture interesting and uses a ton of real-world examples. I had to miss an entire week in the middle of my first college semester and he did so much to help keep me caught up. He even postponed my homework due dates while I was gone without me asking! Take Take Take!

This class is geared towards business majors so he focuses on getting us to understand the main concepts rather than doing more complicated problems. He was great at explaining difficult to grasp concepts and I don't think there could be a better professor to teach this basic level of calculus. However, I wish he did more example problems in class.

Dr. Vazzana has an awesome personality. He made Calculus a great experience overall. He's able to explain things in layman's terms, and he grades fairly. There's a lot of homework each week, but it's not too bad if you take the hardest questions to the tutors. I do wish he would reward his top performing students a bit more.

Dr. Vazzana is super nice and makes learning calculus as easy as possible. He has daily office hours that make him easily available. He explains calculus in a way that's easy to understand. The only bad thing is his classes seem to be typically offered early in the mornings.

Vazzana expects his students to answer lots of questions, which can be a bit tiresome for a class that takes place at 7:30 or 8:30 in the morning. Despite this, he has a good sense of humor that makes Calculus somewhat bearable and going to office hours can be really helpful. Expect lots of homework.

He is a really good teacher, he is really approachable. Although his lectures are fun, his tests are way to tough. I used to re practice my quizzes and hw but still never got a good enough grade for the class. His tests are very tricky even if ur a math maniac his tests will still be hard. Leaving that aside he is a really good guy!!

Dr. Vazzana is a great professor. He makes the information understandable and interesting. Always ready to help and gives good hints. Very fair grader and gives reasonable expectations with definitions and theorems to prove on exams. WebWork was a pain, the online homework, but he may stop using it. Great professor, great class, take him!

Tough course, but I also had more hard courses than a usual that semester, so that's probably part of the reason I thought he was harder than most of the reviews on here. VERY helpful at office hours and really nice and funny proffesor.

Dr. Vazzana is one of the best math professors at Truman. His lectures are hilarious and he really draws you into the material. He's a fairly lax grader, but you need to put forth some effort. He genuinely cares about his students unlike many other professors.

Dr. Vazzana is one of the funnier professors at Truman. He asks for plenty of class participation and responds lightheartedly when students make jokes in class. I have Algebraic Structures I with him, which is proof-heavy and a bit boring, but he walks us through the proof with questions until we finish the proof as a class. Homework easy.

Dr. Vazzana is hands down the best math professor at Truman. He actually makes class fun. Yeah, you read that correctly. He is hilarious and presents the material in an organized fashion. Help is definitely there when you ask for it. His tests are slightly difficult, but if you know the material you'll do fine. Needless to say, take this professor!

Dr. Vazzana is seriously the BEST math prof at Truman in my opinion. He's super funny and genuinely cares that you're learning the information. I would've had an A if I had done better on quizzes. Homework isn't mandatory and there are weekly quizzes but if you keep up with the homework it's SUPER easy.

Great professor. He makes the class very enjoyable, even with it being calculus. He really cares about the class and his students. His explanations are great. He makes all the concepts very easy to understand. He is a nice grader and most of the test and quiz questions come directly from homework problems. Not hard to get an A.
