I had to drop because this simply wasn't the class for me. Mary is a really nice lady, but I didn't love her teaching style. The class was only worth 0.5 units and ironically, I had the most homework for that class. It's really beneficial if that's your desired career path, but I wouldn't waste your time if you don't need that class.

Comment:

Mary is so wonderful to be around. talented and inspirational she makes taking care of your vocal chords a priority. Expect alot of out of class practice without it you probably won't improve very much she pushes everyone of her students to the next level she just doesn't have enough time the class is way to short need to be 2 hours not 50 min.

Mary is the best voice teacher! Her class is amazing. She is very helpful, loves and encourages her students. She makes singing fun, not embarrassing or awkward. She isn't too tough, but she expects effort. If you don't want to sing, then don't take her class. There is a little bit of writing, but not enough to complain about.

GREAT TEACHER!! She is so helpufl and has an awesome sense of humor! The only downside was that she required a bit more writing assigments than I think the 2 units called for. Great class though!!

Ms. Jaeb is a really good voice teacher. I have improved a lot since taking this class. She cares about her students and gives a lot of herself and her time to teaching. You have to put in a lot of time practicing in order to do well. She has you write a few papers and none of them were ever returned, not sure why. I am so glad I took this class!

Jaeb is an awesome teacher. singing in front of a group can be nerve wracking, but Mary Jaeb knows how to make you feel comfortable. The whole class is very relaxed and informal, but you learn a lot!

If you have any interest whatsoever in becoming better at singing...you MUST take her class. She will undoubtedly help you improve if you are willing to put work in. She has the kindest heart ever and the way she structures the class, by the end, you will all feel like a big family! It's the best class I have ever taken at Palomar...

She's funny, caring, interested in her students and makes vocal learning fun. Emphasizes a lot on posture and singing whole body in order to care for your instrument. You'll have a blast in her class and improve your singing even if you've never sung before. A must for Music Majors and great as an elective, loads of fun!

One of the most helpful musical professors I've had. She helps alot with physical related problems in your singing which usually means she will fix something your doing which is so slight and easy to fix but you had no idea you were doing it. Invest in a TAPE RECOARDER, it will help you understand how much you improve under her direction.

Mary is sooooo full of knowledge of her craft it's almost scary. Everybody who went into that class came out singing 600% better than when they went in. Mary also cares about each and everyone of her students, and that love is reciprocated tenfold :)

Mary is amazing. she makes you feel confident about yourself, I went into that class with not so much vocal skill and came out having learned so much. I plan on taking her class every semester I have at palomar! oh and Mary is one of the sweetest women ever!
