I highly recommend Dr. Posner. He has his class do lecture prep, which is extremely helpful in understanding material before it is introduced. The labs are fun and he is very willing to help students out when needed. Really shows you how to write a correct lab report, which is great for science majors. Overall an interesting class with a fun prof.

Comment:

Dr. Posner is by far one of the best professors at Ashland. Dr. Posner always has clear expectations for students, updates students on class progress regularly, and ensures everyone is on the same page. The exams come straight from the notes and labs are very straightforward. Dr. Posner is a caring individual and will help anybody who tries.

Dr. Posner is my favorite professor at Ashland. He has reasonable expectations and makes it very easy to do well in his class - but an effort on your part is required. He makes good use of online resources. I have spent so much time in his office talking about anything and everything. He is a really amazing professor and person.

Dr Posner is a great professor who is always willing to help his students. His tests aren't awful, there are weekly quizzes online and thought questions to be completed before each lecture. If you study and put the time in, you will do great :)

Dr. Posner was a great professor. He is extremely helpful with both lab and lectures. He is willing to help review, and usually the day before the test will have an entire class dedicated to review. I wish I could have him for every biology class.

Dr. Posner is a really cool prof! I have him for Bio 202 and Vertebrate. He is very clear and knows his stuff. I learned so much from him! Take notes and study them well and you'll do fine. We even had review sessions for each test which were very helpful. I hope to have him again

Comment:

Dr. Posner is a great professor, he will make time individually to help you with concepts. He is very good about doing review sessions before exams, and times will work for everyone. The material itself is difficult, but if you study well and ask for help you will succeed in this class! I will take Dr. Posner again in the future.

He is a very thorough teacher and knows a ton about his subjects. He is good at communicating the information to a class as well. He does require more busy work than ive had to do for other biology teachers, but i think he does it with good intention to help students. I would say he is a "passionate" teacher, tests are pretty difficult.

He teaches using slides and you just write your notes on your slides. It's a lot easier to study for tests in his class than anyone else's. He's also not bad to look at. His labs are SUPER easy.

Not an easy class, but he's a very helpful professor. If you didn't understand something, he was always willing to help answer any questions. Sometimes it got boring, but for the most part he made things very interesting and I actually feel that I learned a lot. I would definitely recommend him.

Awesome prof: If you need extra help he is willing to meet with you anytime. Tests were fair and covered the book and in class lecture, labs were fun. If I had to take Bio again I would definitely take him again. He makes Biology fun!
