Great guy. Seems a little disinterested sometimes but it's only because it's hard to comment on every aspect of someone's project and doing it for tons of students. Talks about his own successes a lot but gives industry tips too. Great basic course, just do the work to pass!

Comment:

Matt is a nice guy and easy to get along with, but has a huge ego. He is successful in the industry and likes to show it. Classes are easy to pass on extra credit alone but he does recognize real talent on a personal level that isn't reflected in grading, sadly. very helpful and is very willing to provide one-on-one instruction if needed.

MAtt Busch , Cool guy easy to get along with i thought he was a student the 1st day of class . We need more young teachers like Matt and get rid of the old grumps that make it so depressing and are just their to get a paycheck. He is Passionate about what he does and that makes the process easier for the student. On a Ebay feedback A++++++++++

It's true, Matt is a self-promoting personality. He tells stories that deal with his own personal experiences & likes to pump his own success and achievements. HOWEVER, most stories are relevant & while assignments are easy & mediocre students slip through, you must show IMPROVEMENT to pass. Has faves but will assist any student who asks for help.

If you like a class where you can do very little and make up for it by going to see spiderman or reading a comic book as extra credit, then this is the class for you. However if you want to learn real techniques to make it in the graphics world, stay far away. By taking one of his classes you put your artistic integrity and your soul on the line.

He teaches you how to use a projector and how to trace pictures. Then you paint the pictures youve just traced of supermodels or celebreties. He is way overrated and people delude themselves into thinking that if they brown nose him that he will help them be 'famous' or something. lame.

Matt is a supertalented artist and gifted teacher. He is genuine in his effort to have you learn his material. But he has to teach down to the weakest link. I think some opinions of Matt are not very accurate.

He's easy to please when it comes to grading. He promotes himself through class alot, but he's very accomplished so it's not entirely uncalled for. He's an exceptional instructor who teaches more in a hour then most teachers can in three.
