Professor Henry is one of the best teachers that I have ever had. He gives great feedback and definitely challenges me to do better. Normal amount of work and very engaging work throughout the semester. Professor Henry really connects with his students and genuinely cares about development. I would take him again in a heartbeat.

Great Teacher. You Do Not need a book for his class he provides all material. I took him for Summer 1, and everyday there was a reading assignment in his and a Discussion board Due . The reading assignment are different everyday. If you take him I recommend your taking the course along! YOU WILL HAVE PLENTY ASSIGNMENT DUE IN HIS CLASS

Cold and kinda demeaning. Has very few nice things to say in terms of critique. Don't bother trying to reason with him once he has deemed your work late (No matter thew reason.

Comment:

This class was organized and easy to keep up with, and he responded to questions quickly. The Simpsons were the theme but it was a way to learn more about cultural theory and important issues in general. I saved some of the readings for future classes. Good quality course, would take again if it were still offered.

Taking online now and he's awesome! Gives clear instructions for assignments, lots of "announcements" to the class for reminders, and gives feedback on everything. Easy grader as well, but I feel like I've had a lot of experience in writing to begin with. No book, no exams, but it you do have quite a bit of writing and group assignments. I recom!

I took Prof. Henry for ENGL 1302 (online flex term). Very passionate about English and gives detailed feedback on each assignment. Three essays and several reading reflections and discussion board postings. Flex term has DAILY assignments except Sundays, so be prepared to work! Tough grader, so do not blow off papers. Free book. Highly recommend!

Professor Henry really cares about what he teaches, and about his students. I took an 8 week class and it was a lot of work, but he always explains the point of assignments and leaves great feedback. I recommend him to anyone and would take classes from him again in a heartbeat.

the class is really interesting since you get to see the simpsons. Just watch with your essays. a good advise is not to miss any class he counts absenes(its a grade)YOu will read alot. Some of the thing u read are really hard to understand. But u will learn alot about culture. It would change the way u see things. Hard on grading essays.Good luck.

I took AA Lit and that was a difficult class for me. He says at the first day of class that the assignments are based on opionions, no you get counted off if its not in his perpesctive. He is a great teacher! But this class was difficult.

AA Lit was unique. Halfway thru the semester it became a black history course and less of a lit class. He?s a great instructor, but a little conceited. VERY liberal. If ur not into writing find another ENG. If u r shy take another class.

Impressed and enlighten I am so glad I took this class. Matt is undoubtly one of the most intelligent, helpful, and interesting professor I've had so far and I am 32. Clear, fair,fun, and professional, but the class can be a liitle challenging at times, but if you work hard and come to class and participate you'll make a good grade. Take the class!

I've had better online teaching! Simple small assignments but he requires you to do two assignments a week. One due Wed, and Sun. That's kinda much for an online class. He's an english teacher too so he expects you to write alot of essays and grades like one to. He grades deep into your essay's, which I don't care for since I'm not a great writer.
