I took this class because I thought it would be fun and I was sooooo wrong. It was so difficult. If you like physiology and neurotransmitters take it because the first semester is that every class with 95 lectures to go with it. I thought the class was very difficult and cried when I got an A because the midterm was very difficult.

Dr. Anch is not a bad professor it just that gives little guidance as to how to study/prepare for his exams. I religiously read the book and attended review sessions and even then there were questions I didn't know how to answer. I didn't hate the class but I definitely wish I had taken it with someone else.

He's very interested in the subject and makes jokes sometimes. He records all of his lectures on tegrity and uploads the powerpoints online. However, I recommend going to class, always reading the book, and using Mindtap to review before exams.I thought the class was challenging but very interesting!

Dr. Anch is a really great guy and is a good teacher. I enjoyed his class. Class consisted of 2 exams, one 10 page term paper, and 6 or so small article readings through the semester. I liked his teaching style (just powerpoints) and the class was on tegrity. Overall, just pay attention and take notes and you will do fine.

Anch is a solid professor who knows his stuff, but he doesn't know how to teach it the best. His powerpoints are confusing that contain a lot of information. Basically, he just lectures the entire class time, so if you're taking the Tue/Thur class show up with some coffee. Tests are hard, but there are 120 possible points out of 100 which saved me.

If you do not thoroughly read the pages from the 3 text books he assigns for each chapter you are screwed. This is a tegrity based class and most of the tegrity videos never got recorded. He is not organized or thorough when it comes to assignments and their explanations. Very few assignments, so you better do well on the tests or you wont pass.

I did not take this class for any credits but it ended up being one my hardest classes. Dr. Anch is very intelligent, so ask questions if you don't understand anything. Also, I highly recommend sitting in the front. Make sure you read the book BEFORE class because it's extremely helpful in understanding the powerpoints better.

He goes off topic sometimes, but he's really interesting so i don't mind. It's all on tegrity so you can just skip ahead. I have a strong background in bio so this courses isn't that bad, but I had to work a lot harder than I expected. Read the book before class because he wants to encourage class participation. He's a nice guy and dresses well too.

Very knowledgeable about his class, but not a good teacher at all. very hard to hear him (I recommend sitting in the first row to hear him well), and his powerpoints are messy and just terribly ill-organized. he speaks pretty fast so it's hard to take notes. he points ppl out if they haven't read the book. but he helps you well after class.

Nice guy. Physiological Psych is super interesting and I loved learning about it but I did not like Anch teaching the subject at all. Hard to hear takes most info from lectures. 4 or 5 tests with one being dropped but there is fill in the blank and essay portions of the tests. If you HAVE to take him its possible but certainly no easy A (hard B).

Challenging class. READ THE BOOK especially before every lecture. He speaks way to low and rambles a bit. I recommend a Biology background before you take this class. Will make your life a whole lot easier.

Dr. Anch is very intelligent and a great professor, however, Physio Psych is really hard but it's hands down one of the most interesting classes I've ever taken. I worked my butt off in this class and here are a few tips- sit up front it helps to pay attention, READ THE BOOK and keep up and review a lot. If you work hard you can get a good grade

Great lecturer, really knowledgeable. This was my favorite class to attend and is my favorite material to learn. It covers a LOT of physiology, so it's not as difficult if you like physiology. Book is helpful as it offers another point of view towards material. 5 tests are your grade, drop your lowest. NO papers.

he doesn't explain the material very well in class and he goes a little too fast to keep up effectively. his ppt slides are too decorated and its hard to take notes on them. he uses too many abbreviations and so is hard to follow. his tests are more general than the depth of hte book, but the book was my main source of help.need lot of work.

Dr. Anch was very soft spoken (MUST sit at the front of class to hear him) and couldnt explain what he was teaching; all of my understanding came from the book. It would be very helpful to come into this class with a strong background in Biology. The class is doable, just EXTREMELY difficult. PS, his test are usually 20 pages long and very specific.

As long as you get used to his abbreviations which I might add take a little getting used to, then you will be fine trying to understand some complex psych concepts. Ask him if you are not sure what his lecture slides are saying because he takes info from both slides and the textbook and puts it on his tests. Tough class but you learn a lot.
