Best professor in the whole world!! He is so accessible and explains things super well. You can tell he cares a lot about students and is super passionate about teaching. LOVE HIM!!!

Dr. Goldwasser is a stellar professor who is very passionate about his workings. The weekly programming assignments are fun for the most part. But, this class has had the most daily homework out of any class I've taken in undergraduate thus far. Every night except Wednesday you have written homework or required reading for a score. Would take!

His Algorithms course was very difficult. There were 6 homework assignments (which take 20 hours each) throughout the year, due every other week. The final was also very difficult; the questions were doable but we weren't given nearly enough time (I don't think anyone finished it in time). I did learn a lot from the class, though.

Dr. Goldwasser is brilliant. Because of this, he overlooks some of the parts of programming that came naturally to him but others have difficulty with. Other than that, he's extremely helpful, consistent, and fair. I felt more than welcome to drop by his office and he would drop everything he's doing and answer every possible question I had.

Great professor. Absolutely the most willing to help out of any class at SLU I've taken. I'd email him at 3 or 4 in the morning, and he'd respond 10 minutes later. He uses great examples, and the programs, although challenging, are interesting and he will help you out. He can be scattered all over the place, but the book is a great reference.

Class is A LOT of work. A LOT of work. But it's extremely fun, and prof. is very very helpful! He even wrote the textbook for the class. He's an extremely brilliant guy, and you can tell that he has such a passion for computer science. He is inspiring me to seriously consider adding a cs major to my current mathematics major.

If you've taken the 145/146 route, this class is review. Goldwasser has a pleasant voice, so you'll at least be in a good mood if you doze off in lectures. Homework isn't bad, he obviously enjoys the subject, and gives good examples. The work is challenging but not impossible, especially if you ask him questions by email. He's extremely helpful.

Dr. Goldwasser is awesome! I enjoyed his Intro to CS class very much, and I got an awesome grade. His homework assignments were easy, but did require some thought. He also offered extra credit on every hw assignment, and the tests were almost exactly like the hw. I took his class as a recommendation, and enjoyed it.

Prof Goldwasser is a good guy. His lectures can be dry and boring sometimes, but overall he does pretty good at teaching and answering questions. His tests haven't been very hard, they come almost straight from the homework. I selected his specific section on the recommendation of an upper classmen and I have to say i'm not disappointed.

Not a bad guy just the class was not well orgnaized. The homeworks and programs have very little to do with what is taught in class. The programs are hard cause he never goes over anything to relate with them in class. The test you pretty much just got hope you study the right stuff. Do like how he keeps track of your grades and posts it for you.

A really nice teacher. if you have previous programmign experience, this class is a blow off class. otherwise, might have to pay a little attention in class. he is really smart and goes into a lot of detail that probably isnt necessary for the test. tests are not too bad but grades a little hard on them. VERY appriachable.
