Professor Morris is a good person but grades super hard. her theory paper is the worst, I forgot to put quotation marks around on sentence (even tho I did cite just no quotes) I got an F on my paper. she gives lots of extra credit but its usually go to an event and write a paper about it.

Sweeetest and most organized professor you'll ever have. She drops your 2 lowest quiz scores and group work activities. Lectures are very straightforward and concepts are easy to grasp. Although attendance is not taken, showing up to each class is very beneficial and you will pass with an A

Comment:

Her lectures are very straightforward and they do make you excited to take on the world of MSP. Nancy gave students numerous opportunity to interact with the students around them and learn from each other. Nancy also gave us breaks in the middle of class so we weren't overwhelmed by the long lectures. I highly recommend picking Nancy for MSP1101!

Comment:

Nancy Morris is a queen. She is very organized with her lesson plan, follows the syllabus exactly & reviews previous topics often for it to be ingrained in your memory. Attendance isn't mandatory but many graded assignments are given during class. Her TAs are very helpful as well & suggest going to their scheduled office hours if you don't get it

I didn't have high expectations for this class but I enjoying it. The theories you learn aren't hard to understand and attendance isn't taken. The exam/midterm was fairly easy, the only thing is Morris grades pretty tough on the 2 papers. you can opt of second paper to do something creative, you get decent feedback so its not hard to score higher

Nancy is very organized, she runs her class like a high school classroom. Attendance isn't mandatory and all of her powerpoints are online. Everything in this class is in essay format and she's a fairly tough grader when it comes to quizzes and papers. Just do the readings and you'll be fine

The papers are basically impossible to do well on. I'm an english major in my junior year and have never received a failing grade on a paper in my life.. until now. She took off 20 points for using who instead of whom once.

Comment:

Nancy wants you to succeed if you participate. If you sit and do nothing, she won't help you much. The class is massive which is a negative but overall I learned a lot and would take her again if I had the chance.

This class was very boring but, wasn't awful. The only thing that was how harshly she grades the papers. I got in the 90's on the midterm exam then got 70's on both of the papers. The papers end up counting more in your final grade than the exams. I wish i took a different professor for MSP1011.

Comment:

Shes very repetitive which helps in her extremely large class. See her in office hours bc her class seems much easier then it actually is, the grading was a little tough. 3 essay quizzes, midterm, final, a few classwork assignments, one essay, and last assignment you can choose to write an essay or do something creative, & Extra Credit. Not bad!

Dr. Morris knows so much and can be a great asset. I wish her class was smaller because some classes I was just so disengaged. Attendance not mandatory which is nice. Class can be a little boring but she gives a lot of info. Midterm and final are the only tests, and then some small projects that are pretty simple. Not a bad class, I learned a lot.

Nancy genuinely cares for her students. She's very sweet and makes it her duty to remember your name. If her class weren't so jam packed, I think I would have enjoyed it more, but I can definitely say I actually learned. I didn't do any readings and still did well on tests and quizzes, but there's a lot of work overall which can be your downfall.

Nancy is a gem. Volunteer in class, and she will know your name. If she knows your name, she loves you. She is the kind of professor where you benefit from her loving you. The class material is rather dry, but she admirably does her best to spice it up. Overall, she is a great person and the class should be not that challenging if you put in work.

Nancy is one of the nicest professors I have come across. She goes out of her way to get to know everyone, and she is always eager to help. The subject matter itself is rather boring, but if you show up, do the readings, and study what is on the study guide for exams, this class is an easy A. I wish I could take more classes with her.

Prof Morris genuinely cares about her students and always tries to get to know people and is always eager to help and answer any questions. She's a little disorganized and could use to put more actual information on her slides, but if you pay attention to her study guides you'll be alright on the tests and can just google the in class group work.
