I loved this sem!! Dr. Guajardo is really smart and an overall nice and caring person. The grading is very simple and there are no surprises, but a good amount of reading and she does have participation points since whole class is discussion. No exams or quizzes, 2 5-6 page essays integrating what was taught and one 8-10 page final paper. Take her!

Great teacher. Nice. Helpful. Tests are close to impossible even if you go to every class, take notes, and read the chapters. Class is not too boring. Again, very nice, just impossible to do well.

Comment:

Intelligent professor who can teach simple concepts very insightfully and clearly, but this can sometimes be a problem because simple concepts don't need elaboration, but she provides it anyway. Furthermore, her tests are tough and carry a LOT of weight on your final grade. She needs to find a greater variety of (lower-risking) testing methods.

Comment:

Had Guajardo for ULLC on Children. Participation in class was vital on having a good grade, but weekly assignments weren't bad. She is a fantastic teacher, and if I liked psychology more, I would definitely take more of her classes!

DO NOT TAKE HER! class is completely note taking and you have to go to every class or you are screwed. Her tests are so hard. I don't know what all of these people are talking about but I know atleast 5 people that got D's first semester and then took a different teacher and got an A or B.

Super nice teacher, kinda hard and boring class but she tried to make it interesting. You really have to know your notes for the tests which can be tricky but there are lots of extra credit opportunities. lecture/note taking class but she uses an outline so it's not so bad.

I didn't do well, but that doesn't mean she isn't a good teacher. Obviously its an intro class so the material is kind of flat, but she did a decent job of keeping me entertained. Go to class, at least once a week. I didn't. But do it.
